Jason lee? i haven't heard of him. Jon Lee Anderson's bio is very good/detailed. IMO, it is the best one but I haven't read yours. (perhaps Anderson is who your talking about). Che's diary, The Motorcycle Diaries, is also a great piece of writing done by the revolutionary himself. You can go to the "Literature and Films" forum, and up at the top you will see a reading list. Here, you can find the best sources to learn about Che and everything surrounding his time, as well as a wide variety of books pertaining to the Left. highly recommend that thread.

I'll second that recommendation of J.L.Anderson's bio.
I also recently read Che's, "Guerrila Warfare". It is what you expect. An interesting, worthy read and something to buy if you've got too much money.

I am another who thinks John Lee Anderson biography on Che is a good start. You might want to also read some of Che's own writings such as the Motorcyle Diaries, the African Dream and The Bolivian Diaries.

Check out Mial's Motorcycle Diaries, I prefered it to Che's!

Try reading books by Che not about him. "Episodes of the Cuban Revolutionary War" is excellent. It's a compilation of articles that he wrote for a newspaper after the revolution. You can find it at Pathfinder Books.

The Anderson book is the best biography.

However you should invest in "Guevara, Also Known As Che" by Paco Ignacio Taibo once you have a basic knowledge of Che. Also all of Che's diaries are, naturally, very important and good reads.

There is also a book I read called "Che Guevara and other Latin American Movements" but I forget the author. That is very good.

Guerilla Warefare is interesting but, as faceless says, isn't really about Che but rather his thinking.

"Global Justice" is a good small book with some selected speeches.

And currently, I'm reading a very good book called "Che Guevara: The FBI Files" which has all declassified documents.

I suggest if you're just starting to read Che, you read a less detailed biography than Anderson's, like "che Guevara" by Andrew Sinclair. That's what I started with. You get an overview so you can then read in detail with Anderson. Then I went on to read all the above books. I'd say it's best to do it that way, but I obviously would!
