TAT's right, they are the perfect example of a modern progressive band. Whether you like any of the sounds they've created is irrelevent - Listening just through the albums (which make up about 5% of the art they've created) you will hear a distinct change in the styles used - even within single records.

That, and Thom Yorke is an ugly bastard. You've got to respect the fact that such an ugly gimp can become so amazingly famous and popular - especially in the 'skin deep' culture we have these days.

If you've heard what radiohead released in albums and didn't enjoy it, then I strongly suggest you try to get a copy of some of the EP's they released - there's literally hundreds of cracking tracks you don't even know exist...

Hmm, sometimes like them, sometimes think they're a bit overrated. Not exactly my thing anymore, but they do produce great music. I've got OK Computer and Kid A.

Radiohead are fucking amazing, OK Computer is their best album, but to get into them I'd advise starting with The Bends; it's a lot more mainstream and has all great tracks.
