Is our knowledge of facts different from our knowledge of values?

NO, both are subjective...in fact 'facts' are just beliefs as are values, because we as human beings cannot 'know' anything that is objectively true. facts are brought about by applying logic to ideas and things we observe. values are brought about by overserving other people and logically, (and yes i believe our emotions, which most will claim iswhere values stem from, is also a part of logic, just another form of logic). So no, i don't believe our SUBJECTIVE knowledge of either is different.

Sure, I think, I a little stoned but sometimes that helps.
Basically our knowledge of facts is based on a firmer structure, it is based on our observations of things we know will always happen like through cause and effect.
Values can change over time, values are never static and are based on a subjective consensus among individuals in their society.

I pretty much agree with that, regardless of what you want to say about it, facts are static and values are dynamic, varying from person to person and from time period to time period.

Personally I see the difference between knowing facts and knowing values as being two different things.
knowing facts = intelligence = Personal knowledge
Knowing values = extelligence = Culture
Extelligence is the moral values that are an intimate part of a culture and not constricted to individuals, but people in general.
Intelligence is different from person to person. We all know different things and we all react differently to our cultures (extelligence).
Our minds shape our culture, but our culture in turn shapes our minds, thus we proceed in an eternal cycle of development. But unless new ideas and realities enter this cycle, we become "in-bred" and mentally and culturally weak.

I dont really know anything, just assumptions kind of like morals and values which brings us right back on track with the thread.
