I'm new here so I just have a few questions.

What is the diffrence between communism, socialism, and facism?

Also what is the diffrences between all three of those to a dictatorship.

Your information will be greatly appreciated.

There's far more experienced people that me who could explain this. But basically:

Socialism = capatalism but geared towards the benifit of the workers rather than the capatalist. Likely to include features such as free health care/education and some nationalisation of industries. According to Marx it will eventually lead to Communism.

Communism = A classless society in which the state has 'withered away' and people are free from 'wage-slavery' and get by by mutual co-operation.

Facism = A far right ideology by which everyone is deemed inferior to the state as a whole. Generally geared towards big buisness and policed by terror. In principal quite similar to Stalinism, but they are NOT the same thing...

Theoretically any of those ideologies colud be a dictatorship but it more likely to be evident in Facism or the Stalinist version of Communism. By the way Dictatorship isn't neccesarily evil...it all depends on the dictator...

Everything's relative to your particular ideology, values and sense of where we're going. Democracy, Dictatorship, Anarchy, they could all be accepted in some situations but be deemed completelly redundant in others. It just depends on what your aiming for...
'A means to an end' you might say...

Socialism and communism have been used interchangeably for so long that a difference of the sort Roses In The Hospital says is maybe a little dangerous. It all depends on what you want the words to mean...I'd call myself a socialist and belong to an organisation that has "socialist" in the title but am a million miles away from being a capitalist of any sort.

Interesting. Why would Hitler create a socialist Germany if it was beleived that it would eventually lead to communism?

There's a difference between the Socialism of Marx and more general Socialism. The Socialism of Marx repressented an interim stage between Capatalism and Communism whereas the more common definition of Socialism is simply a fairer society, so you can be a socialist without holding the belief that it will lead to communism. It gets even more compliucated when you take into account the fact that all of the nations labled Communist (Cuba, China et al) where in fact simply Socialist to a greater or lesser degree...

As for Hitler, he did endorse some Socialistic ideas in his writings (the elimination of the class system being one example) but in reality he played more to big buisness than to the workers. So the Socialist part of National Socialism was shouldn't really be taken at face value...
