View Full Version : WOULD YOU EVER SERVE IN THE U.S MILITARY? - the draft is bac

Just recently, a new law was passed in California requiring those who are registering for a drivers license or state ID, to serve 3-6 months in the armed forces.

Now, I dunno about you, but I won't serve one mili-fucking-second in the armed forces to protect this country.

Guess what happens if you don't serve? It's a felony.

These crackers must be fucking crazy to think they can get everyone to protect the fuckers who get rich off the way we suffer and slave. I don't care if they send a tank after my ass. I'll never serve in the U.S military. Never. I'll never protect america.

america is the greatest purvayour of violence on this planet. The united states military expenditures exceed those of the TOP 12 military expenditures of the world, and are more than a 3rd of all put together.

The worlds second largest military expenditures are Russia's. And theirs are 60 billion. The United States military expenditures are over 600 billion.

The United States of America is the most violent empire in the history of man-kind. It was born on violence, it thrives through violence, and shit, i'm sure it will BURN back to hell in violence. It will burn all by it's self, just like every single heiarchical society throughout history has. Not a single heiarchical-driven society has ever lasted more than a few hundred years, and surly without doubt, will a plutocracy like the USA last much longer than it already has.

The fact that capitalism is a system built to fulfill the interests of a small centralized elitist upper class clearly states that such a system is only engendured to eventually collapse because it's unable to sustain anything close to adequiate "living standards"...

Anyway, I would never fight for the USA. I don't care if a 'lesser-evil' dropped a big bomb on it, i'd still never join the armed forces. I'd never fight for this country. The only thing i'll fight for is this planet, humanity, and the security of living things, for they have a right to live - as this right has been ripped away because of america.

i'd never fight for amerikkka.

would you?

if you ask me, 500 years of oppression doesn't ask for submision. 500 years of oppression calls for resistance. 500 years of oppression screams KNOW YOUR ENEMY. 500 years of oppression screams justice.

500 years of oppression does not call for arms in the hands of the state.

500 years of oppression calls for arms in the hands of the poor.

Culture on the cross makes a return-fire justified.

You didn't see the jews salute hitlers flag did you?

america is not under crisis.

america is a crisis.

fuck the american empire.

no war but the class war.

The U$ as we understand it today is more a product of capitalism then vice-virsa, I think you`ll all agree. In the same way, american imperialism is also more a result of the capitalist nature of its society then an inhernt evil of the same. Im refering of course to the especific nature of U$ capitalist society, i.e the leading capitalist nation. Such a nation, leading capitalist one, would have to be imperialistic and oppressive. Hence the problem isn`t really the U$, U$ is just a detail, a moment in history, the problem is capitalism. So FUCK CAPITALISM!

I would really like to read more about this, is there any sites/links/articles/anything you could refer me to?

Thanks,

The idea is to create some kinda patriotic feeling. What bollox. All National Service is absolute bollox. There is some belief that by living in a country we have to defend and support it. What bollox #3. Fuck the UK, fuck America, fuck the EU, fuck everything. And above all, fuck every fucking army in the whole world...

here everyone is supposed to do basic training (10 months or so), because Germany does not have a full time army or whatever it's called - unlike the US.

But even here folks like me can do social service instead...

I would fight to protect my home and family, doesn't matter whose army it is.

I would consider fighting for my country only if it was to repel invaders who would make life much worse - ie I would have fought the Nazis but stayed away from Vietnam.

The draft is wrong, plain and simple.

Luckily, I use public transportation.

Personally, I used to want to be in the Navy like my father(to bad he never knew what evil he fought for, but then again he was in Puerto Rico most of his life and they had little to do with the national government), but now that I'm socialist, i want a revolution so fuck the armed forces....but should there be a revolution remember the armed forces have amazing new technology...so lets go to That one college where they are researching it and burn it to the ground

whats worse is thed raft is usually introduced when a country ig preparing for war...i hope australia doe not follow suit and supourt the us like it did for nam

As another Skip, I can comment for Australia's involvement - Howard is very much the lap-dog of Bush, and is likely to get involved in anything America says, out of the pure need to impress His Highness, George Dubya.

I'm just hoping that General Peter Cosgrove and the other brass have enough sanity to see really what's going on, and refuse to allow the forces to take part.

Wishful thinking, most likely, we'll see.

ComradeFubar
22nd March 2002, 11:24
Hmm i dont think the Australian public would allow it to happen..not after nam..i mean da trade unions have already taken the anti-war stance from the begining of this supposed "war on terrorism"(I c it as a new cold war...orwells continious conflict)...
Its also Cosgroves last year so any future decions will probly be made by some politcal suckup whos never had any combat experince in his life

@IWDY

@This Thread.
Fuck the draft.

If you don't want to join the military, fail on all the tests. Look like your trying, but make sure you fail them.

They certainly won't send you to fight if you don't pass them because you'd basically be useless.

PunkRawker677
22nd March 2002, 19:10
take a very very cold shower before you go to take the tests (itll make it hard to breath, if you have asthma, youll have a sever asthma attack).. or just do what moskitto said.. pretend to try, and fail.. that should be fun.. lol.. shoot yourself in the foot by accident.. lol..

Since I don't have a car, I never needed to sign up for a license and would not have to sign up for military service if I lived in California.

Maybe I'd pretend that I love the government and allow myself to be drafted, but I would do extremely well on all my physical and intelligence tests, just to make sure I'm assigned to some important position. Then I qould use this information against them, of If in command of a ship, defect over to Cuba or something...

The problem is they train you up good before they test you. So you have to get no benefit from the training (you shouldn't be tired, just look it)

The ways to fail on the tests (British) are.

Pull Ups - 10 no getting down from bar, no swinging. If you're really heavy like me this is easy to fail. Get to about 7 if you can. Then when you get to the bottom, lock your arms, you'll never be able to get back up unless you really want to.

Running - This is something really wierd you have to run a sub 11 minute mile. Which is really really easy. so you have to really really screw it up somehow. If you powered it right at the start (don't stop going at top speed), you'd get about half way through then hit the wall and basically collapse.

Sit Ups - 65 in 2 minutes. I can actually do this one quite comfortably. If you want to fail this one eat loads before you take the test. You will get pretty bad cramp and be totally unable to do anything.

Press Ups - Same as sit ups. Not to hard to fail. Remember, struggle when you're at the bottom. Really tense you facial muscles and you'll sweat loads.

During World War II, lots of Americans who were unconditionally concerned about freedom, not patriotism, signed up with the Canadian army and fought the Nazis long before the United States got there. I have a bunch of distant relatives who did this.

it would probably be "steh" since it is a command, but i dunno if der mann is the slang they use for the man

i could do the sit ups, running, MAYBE the pullups but NOT the pushups

I Will Deny You
23rd March 2002, 21:32
Maybe it's Yiddish.

I could do the sit-ups and the running, probably the pull-ups (my arms are pretty strong since I kayak) but when you're a girl people will believe you if you say you're bad at push ups.

Moskitto
23rd March 2002, 21:47
I can do all of them except the pull ups (strict ones those are btw) which i'm 1 off.

Someone I know who's the former world champion in my canoeing discipline is amazing. He's a front of C2 paddler so he is really really strong. He can run 5 miles in 32 minutes on a hard course (the fastest person at our club can do 29 minutes on our 5 mile couse but only 38 on theirs so I wouldn't be surprised if this guy could run a sub 4 minute mile), then he gets onto the water in the narrowest canoe ever and stays in it, he sprints off someone, comes back, goes to the gym, he can do pull ups, sit ups, dips, leg raises, dorsal raises, tub jumps, and press ups from benchs at 1 a second. Then he starts doing shuttle runs and he's just as fast on them.

And this guy is 38 and still at this level of fitness.
