I recently aquired a copy of this film, and I really enjoyed it. I thought that it was a fine pieces showing the evil of society, and how bigotry is so fundermentally wrong.

Who else has seen this film and enjoyed it?

I saw it and enjoyed it.

It showed some of the realities of the neo-Nazi movement that goes on here and why all that stuff is absolute bullshit. The film was very well put together.

Yeah, great movie. But I think there have already been a few threads on it.

That curb stomping scene makes my face hurt everytime I think about it.

That was a fabulous movie. Something that everyone should see.

Sadly though, i think that many people have missed the point of the movie. I remember when it came out and a bunch of racists were so excited about it saying that it was awesome, it was like their new favorite movie. When i actually talked to one of the guys around here whos a crazy ass racist, i tried to tell him that the movie wasnt supporting what they were doing, but actually going against the racism, he didnt believe it at all. All i remember was how he talked excitedly about the curb scene. Thats when i was like fuck it and walked away. Obviously, the point of the movie was missed.

saw it the other week - thought it was brilliant.

I thought the end was just fantastic; that possibility hadn't crossed my mind so it was a big shock. Very moving when they had him reading his conclusion; whilst he died from what he had been, but just moved on from.

Everyone should see it.

Yeah, I thought it was pretty good, I've always like Ed Norton.

I was talking about this movie with this Racist with a fairly open mind (go figure) who's a friend of mine (I had met him fairly recently, and was working on it) and he was talking about how great the movie was. When I explained that the movie was meant to be ANTI-racialist, he was in disbelief. The next day he came back and told me that he re-watched the movie and understood what it was saying. After a few more long discussions with him, he now likes Castro and is reading up on the white panthers on my recommendation. Goes to show you that not all racists are totally pricks, some of them are pretty solid guys.

Jebus Christ, I saw this movie a long time ago. Seems like everyone is just now seeing it, hmm.

But definitely it's a great movie.

I have yet to see this movie (somehow my family watched without me...) but I saw the movie The Believer last year. It's about a Jewish male in his 20's who is anti-Semitic. He is a neo-Nazi but still practices his faith, this movie is very powerful and beautifully written and choreographed. it deals with the themes of religion, family, self-loathing and examines the weight of intolerance, both individual and society as a whole. I believe it is based on an American Nazi leader from the 60's who was found out to be Jewish.

Bloody good film. The bit at the beginning when Norton crushes the geezer's skull on the curb is bloody shocking.

whatsa fucked up is people can watch it and get inspired... some neo nazis thought edward nortons character was great early on.. muscles, tattoos, brave, strong, smart... i think its a good movie .. just wish neo nazis didnt get inspired by it. they call it a jewish plot when he changes his ways. funny that all the movies about neo nazis tend to show them for what they are.. .. :)
