Anyone here seen this? It's mainly a biography movie on Abbie Hoffman's (author of Steal This Book) life, but it goes into a lot of detail with the "yippie" movement during the Vietnam War, and even into the FBI's COINTELPRO, the program which silenced the Black Panther movement. And best of all, in the special features there's an interview with Bobby Seale!

Yeah I saw that movie a couple of years ago. Very inspiring to say the least. I love Abbie Hoffman. One of my favorite parts of the movie is when Rick Rubin, Abbie Hoffman and Tom Hayden are in the Chicago Mayor's office and the mayor or his subordinates say to them that they are not allowed to hold their anti-war protest outside the Democratic National Convention. Well Jerry Rubin gets so angry he starts growling, "This is bullshit, man. We filled those fucking forms. Now where's the permit, asshole!" All the while Abbie Hoffman is just blowing water bubbles all over the room. Too bad that Rubin went on to become a yuppie or at least try to be one withpout much success then he was killed while jaywalking accross the street. Too bad about Abbie Hoffman too. I read the biography that his brother wrote called Run Run Run. Very sad during his last days.

i havent seen the movie, but i did read his autobiography, soon to be a major motion picture, it was wonderfully written and powerful. as far as american activists of the 60s-80's go, abbie hoffman has to be one of the greatest
