Commandante Marcus - heard of him?

i'm trying to find this man, well really his books. I got a e-mail of a small part of one of his books and it was pretty good.

He's a South-American freedom-fighter, and his books are philosophy, but made very simple and related to modern day society. No one knows what he looks like and I believe he (like every human being with an open mind) is wanted by the U$A.
Has anyone read his books or know what the title is ?

He is Sabre's hero, a native american leader of the zapatistas in mexico.

basically he is fighting for the rights of the opressed indigenous natives in mexico and how big logging companies and shuit come in there and destroy his land, he is a very powerful voice in mexico, and also is socialist

Wow, sup marcos is my idol along side of Che and Zapata! He is not indigenouse, but he is is an idigenista! well i got some up dates on their struggle. The zapatistas maintain control of half of chiapas and have formed autonomous comunities run by the indigenouse people! They control everything from education to the sewage!!! Some grim info, the bush administration has focused on the zapatistas as their next victims for the "war on terrorism". Another thing, marcos has never been the leader of the EZLN, just the voice., the true leaders are the 27 comandantes. Marcos is their official speaker because of his facility with spanish, but he is the leader and the organizer of their guerilla strategies... for more info, a great book is "the war against oblivion" by John Ross
