I don't listen to RATM or Metallica, but "Consumo gusto" or "A la mierda" by Ska-P would work for me.

hmmm, hard one, I don't get angry often. do you want catharsis or calming?

catharsis: amen, glassjaw, slipknot (as gimicky as they may be)

No Warning

this is for Red2k4:
Lestat: Lord, what I wouldn't give for a drop of good old-fashioned Creole blood.
Louis: Yankees are not to your taste?
Lestat: Their democratic flavor doesn't suit my palate, Louis.

Instead of acting on your anger and doing something to improve your situation, you get stoned?? And then you fucking tell me that I lack reason?? Shit, you must be awesome when you're activising, or does greenery take priority over that too?? I guess you must think you're pretty active though, I mean, you're posting here right and your mate Dave just sits in his front room listening to Zeppelin.

I only change out the CDs in my CD changer about once a week. So when I'm angry, I'm still too lazy to put in the appropriate disc. I just choose from the CDs that are already in there. I have a 51-disc changer, but only use about 10 to 15 spaces at a time because I want to change out my music more often than the time it would take to listen to my current selections as much as I want to.

How big is what? The CD player or the amp? Did I mention that I also have a large subwoofer? =D

The CD player and amp are about the same size: about 6 inches tall, 20 inches wide, and about 12 inches to the back.

The CDs are arranged vertically in a circular pattern.

Aside from the obvious, like Rage Against the Machine, System of a Down, Tool; Helmet, Anti-Flag, Downway, and The Sex Pistols are always nice. If you're looking something to ice down the situation, I highly recommend Sleep Station. They're mostly accoustic and the lead singer has a voice similar to that of the guy from Radiohead. By the time you're finished with the first three songs you'll be more likely to cry and hug your blanky than knock someone out.

that's true. You can only spend so much time seething beyond belief that you begin to piss everyone off around you. then you feel worse. When I'm enraged I listen to NIN. (hey pig, in particular. wow). Avenged Sevenfold as well. And of course, i usually play a Rage song if i feel like it. When I want to get over the shit, I play some Frusciante (new album = up beat) or some At the Drive-In.

For me, it's not a matter of being pissed off (I don't get pissed off much, and it takes alot), it's more when I am depressed.

Marilyn Manson.
NIN.
Tool.
A Perfect Circle (especially "The Noose", if you know the lyrics, you should be able to figure out why).

Hell, include my entire Metal collection. How it is growing...

Placebo are great, not an angery band, they do depressed and party time music, but not angery... except possibly Haemoglobin, which borders on angry.

A good song for fueling anger is 4 degree's by tool.

I agree. To hell with new Metallica. If they still had Cliff they would have never changed their sound to how it was in their post-Cliff days. He had to have been one of the best bassist in thrash metal music ever. Especially after listening to Anesthesia (Pulling Teeth).

What do you think of believe?

Tool is a bit more cerebral and has a nice calming effect for me personally.

Some of it, the Opiate stuff is even more heavy than a lot of famed metal bands can lay claim too. Though I must admit the Lateralus album in particular is very calming, except mantra, which is just so out of place in that album. From songs like Schism and Parabol to Mantra is just wierd.

Disgustipated I never got the point of though. The beep confuses me.

At the moment I'm going through all of my CD's (I don't have that many, to be honest, only about 90 including classical) and i've refound a lot of stuff. I forgot how good Radiohead were, and I also forgot how cool the early marilyn manson stuff is. But I'm not often very angry, so it's hard to decide. i was listening to Rammstein today, and I think that has to go on the list.

Anger management options...
Fear Factory: Desecrate

Chorous:
"Thy will be done
On earth as it is in heaven
Drink his blood like wine
Taste his body like bread
He's not my god
He's not my god"
Deicide: In Torment In Hell

Radio-recorded intro:
"Radio-Preacher: Jesus Christ is going to prepare a place for me.
Glen Benton in phone: Great.
RP: And where he is, I'm going to be some day.
GB: Great.
RP: No more tears, no more death, no more crying, no more pain.
GB: Beautiful.
RP: And where are you going to be?
GB: In torment! In Hell!"
Sepultura: Apes Of God

"There's no rest for consequences of guilt
Facing my own doubts about what is actually real
I told myself that I would live again
Lost all cause fought them all to the end
All my aspirations fell to the bottom of hell
The womb of mother earth is bleeding losing a son
Can't deny, our decline"
Ol' Dirty Bastard: Brooklyn Zoo

"Ason, I keep planets in orbit"
Saul Williams: Penny For A Thought

"niggas used to buy their families out of slavery
now we buy chains and links, smokes and drinks
they're paying me to record this, even more if you hear it
somebody tell me what you think I should do with the money
...
a young child stares at a glowing screen transfixed by tales of violence
his teenage father tells him that that's life, not that Barney shit
a purple dinosaur that speaks of love, a black man that speaks of blood
which one is keeping it real, son?
who manufactured your steel, son?
...
an emcee told a crowd of hundreds to put their hands in the air
an armed robber stepped to a bank and told everyone to put their hands in
the air
a Christian minister gives his benediction while the congregation hold
their hands in the air
love the image of the happy Buddha with his hands in the air"

Enough for now...

Here is a tip. Use the music to change ur mood.

I usually play the soundtrack from the matrix (Matrix revolutions of course ;) )

Then switch to something like Eminem

Then I gradually wind it down till i just listen to a mix of Beatles, John Williams (cool composer, made loads of good soundtracks), REM and anything else i can get my grubby hands on.

It all depends really, if I'm angry and I wanna chill out I'll throw on some Kyuss, Alanis, Bob Dylan, Marley, The Cure, Red Hot Chili Peppers

If I'm angry and I want to remain angry (sounds stupid I know) then I'll usually throw on some Testament, Sepultura, Megadeth, Agoraphobic Nosebleed, Keelhaul, Slayer

If I'm angry and I wanna calm down yet still listen to something heavy... Hmm... I'll usually throw on some Electric Wizard, Sabbath, Bongzilla, Queensryche, Dream Theater, Warhorse, Seven Days At Knife Point... etc etc etc...

Me, tit is not my problem
Soup with the grimace
Cest not good, it is the cup.
But if you want some,
You will have some.

It was once somebody which had made a choice
And that finger everywhere was shown.
It was once Groucho Marx disguised in Trojan horse
Against 800 million Chinese.

He was once. He was a section of liver in the West.
Crowned good god out of wooden spoon.
It was once. It was a section of liver in the West.
Cooked with the grease of wooden horses.
It was once. Mao is death then sharp moa!
A small cough every man for himself.
it was once. playagain for me from this wooden trompet.
Ho! play this for me once again.

Ho ! Rejoue en moi encore une fois.

If you really want to get rid of all your pissed off feeling listen to some white noise. It will either make you forget about being pissed off and want to get away from it, or just make you even more mad.
