Dumbsfeld Orwellian duckspeak (madness of King Lear if you ask me)

The Unknown
As we know,
There are known knowns.
There are things we know we know.
We also know
There are known unknowns.
That is to say
We know there are some things
We do not know.
But there are also unknown unknowns,
The ones we don't know
We don't know.

What's not to understand? It seems a totally pointless thing to say, but I'm assuming it was in response to question he was given.

I dislike this habit we have of quoting people out of context to achieve our goals. It's not as if they don't say enough bad stuff on their own heads, perfectly in context.

As far as I can tell all that's intimated in this bizarre statement though is this

There are things we know
There are things we don't know
There are things we don't know we know
There are things we don't know we don't know

The man isn't exactly the worlds greatest speaker, so this kind of thing can be excused. Being an asshole is what we need to stake him for.
