Recently in San Francisco an art gallery was vandalized for displaying a picture that showed U.$. troops torturing Iraqis on its front window. People smashed out the windows and threatened to torch the place to the ground. They later started leaving anonymous death threats to the owner saying they would kill her and all of her family because they were unamerican for having a picture up that was like that.

How messed up is that?

This happened in San Francisco?? That is rather odd cause Berkeley right across the bridge was the mecca of student protests back in the 60's.

Is it not unamerican to torture people?

Is it not unamerican to torture people?

Of course not.

This type of thing seems pretty typical of any American city, burning it down will only make the art more popular. I'm sure vandalism has already done just that.

I actually find this sort of thing rather amusing. It's like what Edward Norton's character accused the other Aryans he was in prison of in the movie American History X, "alot of hard talk but not a whole lot of follow through." Most of these types seem to be that way. They're real tough when it comes to smashing a window in the dead of night when noone's around, or calling in a death threat from miles away. They never seem to show their faces though. I used to be a bouncer in a nightclub, and these people remind me of all those assholes who used to love to talk shit about my mother while they were walking away.

Yup, its odd that it happend in San Francisco. You would think that in a city like that it wouldn't happen, but I did.

jeez. I agree it is odd that such a thing would happen to an art gallery in San Francisco. That's riduculous. William Falk, editor in chief of the week made a good point. These torture scenes from Iraq cannot be avoided. These pictures are what defines the american occupation. Too bad if these vandalizing assholes don't want to see it. They can go take their own pictures if they want.

These war mongers are nothing more than a bunch of lunatics. Not to mention these are the same people that thought Vietnam was a "draw". Ignorance is really something, however, these people are just flat out stupid.
