Most are nazis, check out Mazdak's thread on Death Metal over at the Phora, some sites have blatent Nazis symbols and support for these groups, you can buy the cd's off nazis sites etc. So don't be foolish in thinking they just like the symbols, thats just being naive.

i know the genre, most are based on agient stuff, few are actual nazis... but i suppose it depends a bit on the country... in norway there is a couple of nazi related bands, but not many... there isnt that many foreign nazis, but those who are are usually semi-popular so easily detected...

Alot of the big Death Metal bands are actually quite left.
For example Napalm Death (songs about how capitalism is fucked up and also they made an old cover of the Dead Kennedys "nazi punks fuck off")
Or Orbituary (who mostly wrote about how capitalism fucks up the enviroment)
Now I could mention alot more but most of your would probably not know them (considering how prejudiced you are).
Just remember not to generalise, every scene got it's "bad apples" so to speak.

you might not agree with the above in a moral or ethical sense......but it does contain alot of basic and difficult truths...

although i could not support such implications, as where these people/person/s want to take this (extermination of certain ppl. etc.) is entirely subjective and arbitrary not to mention extremely wrong, both in a moral and humane sense.

I know IQ is a bad measure of intelligence, but until I find a better one it's all I have (throw em at me if ye have em). I'm going to stick my neck out and assert that firstly whoever wrote this only has the most basic understanding of the ideology they intend to promote and proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that we're talking about someone with an IQ bordering on double figures, no more.

a lot of black metal in scnadanavia is pagan themed. some is anti christian, and sometimes anti jewish and racist.

bands like impailed nazarene are national socialist. some will have heard of varg (count grishnak) he is a norwegian national socialist who got impisioned for killing his bandmate.

The book about black metal (can't remember the name) is an excellent study of this. The more extreme pagan belief some of the bands have moved onto when Nazism was exhausted aren't all that much better- Varg Vikernes still spouts some amazing nonsense, and bands like Cradle of Filth may seem okay but their interviews are full of garbage. Considering some people are weak and the only thing to do is kill them (rather than educating, as a vanguard, and fighting capitalism) is pretty far away from what any socialist should believe in.

I know lots of people on here dislike them, but in my opinion System of a Down are a great leftist 'metal' band. It's not death metal but still.

Also in the rapmetal genre, u got One Minute Silence, who are anarchists, and Ill Nino.

Skindred play absolutly awsome RaggaMetal, which kinda seems to me to have a leftist message.

I can verify that Burzum is a bit nazi.. not extremly but the dude said he was a nazi in an intervu, but that was just once, but he has unlikely changed his view since that..

It's not the music that's influenced by nazi's. It are a lot of nazi's who are influenced by the music.
It's the kind of music they like. Dark, agressive, loud. (except for the 'dark' part, these are pretty much the understandings that nazi's are known for!).
Ofcourse there are always rotten apples, just don't let 'm spoil the whole damn bush.
Most nazi's like metal, most metal musicians don't like nazi's.
