The mayor of Inglis, Florida issued a proclamation saying that Satan was banned from her town. She says G-d told her to do it. I swear.

Shouldn't someone do something about this? It's such an obvious violation of the separation of church and state. If it weren't so funny, I might actually stop laughing and take the time to be mad. The good news is, she's pretty harmless because the ban doesn't actually do anything.

How are you going to ban satan...obviously if satan is evil then he takes pleasure in breaking laws so why wouldn't he go into town...even if you take the lady seriously her logic is flawed

I spent two weeks in Florida a few years ago, just going around the whole state by bus with one of my favorite cousins. It's really fun to laugh at "Jesus freaks" and I sure wouldn't want to live with one, but spending two weeks with them was really fun. There's this sense of wackiness in the air that you can't find anywhere else, or at least it seems that way to a semi-northerner like me.

Ah, if only they'd outlaw the Ku Klux Klan and incest . . . the South could become the best place in all of America. (I don't mean to offend any Southerners with the incest thing . . . I know that all of you aren't sleeping with your cousins, believe me. I've got family in the South but no one in Arkansas has ever groped me.
