View Full Version : More Boycotting Conservatives

Looks like Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails has pissed off the conservatives. They've been fighting against Al Jourgensen of Ministry for some of the crap he's said lately and they want his music banned from radio. They also want Michael Moore's new film banned as well. If you want to check out some of the nonsense going on go here. There are several boycotts against some bands I thought some of you might enjoy.

That was a hoax/publicity stunt invented by Moore.

No, PABAAH wants it banned and that's a fact. The Disney thing is questionable, though. I'm talking about these specific organizations that I'm linking to. Not the Disney thing.

Its a shame these guys are missing out, NIN, Tool and APC are practically the only true great rock bands still about and still doing well.

I love Tool and APC, Maynard is probably the best vocalist to ever sing in a rock band, and i'm not kidding.

The most ironic thing is, that they whine about these bands and make a big fuss, so people automatically wonder what the fuss is about and go and listen to the music, further spreading the very thing they are trying to boycott.

I live it!

If you like NIN you might enjoy Ministry and Skinny Puppy. They were two of the most important bands to Trent Reznor. The Broken album was heavily influenced by Ministry's sound. Skinny Puppy's late 80's work was fairly influential as well.

Both bands are releasing new albums this month and next month btw.
May 25 for Skinny Puppy
June 22 for Ministry(I think)

I had no interest in any of those things before, but, after hearing about the boycott, I now own 6 tool/apc cds and can't wait to see mm's movie!

If only buying these things wasn't also helping to sustain the current system....
Music industry is a horrible place - the sooner it is disbanded and we return to having no mass-marketed mediums and 'bedroom' recording the better

imho ;) :D

I usually end up buying the album in the end. I still love my CDs. Even if I do get copied CDs, I always end up stealing the box and the book. :)

Well that is funny, because the bands who are boycotted now (NIN, Tool, APC) were against the downloading.

In a way I can understand why they are against the downloading, for the musicians. But for those record industry pricks who dont do jack shit, just sit there and get money...FUCK THEM!!!

but this boycotting bands...that's fucked up, we have free opinions right, we are so "free" and "democratic" <_<

in protestant dominated america, anything like that is banned. up here in the great white north, all of these bands are given ample airplay on stations that do not roll over for the bible belt mentality of the south. you know. toss twelve year old retarded "criminals" in the gas chamber. chase minorities around town in the back of your pick up trucks. burn crossess. drink from giant jugs with "XXX" stenciled across the side. and so on.
