A plea to anyone on this board who has some understanding of the man and his work,
I'm looking for people to lend links or tell me any titles to books by the man on pop culture and/or commodity fettishism. Has he written any masterpieces which I should be aware of? Does anyone have any light to shed on his ideas

Well I've read the Culture Industry by him, which is very good. I'm also waiting for his dialectic of enlightenment. Essentially he and the Frankfurt School are an important part of Western Marxism. Essentially he is a Marxist cultural theorist with some interesting ideas, although he is somewhat pesismistic. Perhaps you shoul start with Lukacs' History and Class Consciousness and then read some Marcuse to contextualise Adorno's work (both available at the MIA).
