Ok,
Im sure most of you have heard about the secret society known as the Free masons.

My family has a long history of membership, and some of my older relatives are quite high in their ranks. Unfortunately they are too stubborn to shed any light on the supposed "Secrets of the Universe"

It made me curious, how much do they know about this world? what sort of radical beliefs do they have? and how opening are these secrets?

The problem is when i queried to my uncles as for my joining, they told me that i will never be able to obtain membership, because of my communist views.

I for now consider that discrimination, but since they are everywhere in our justice system taking it to court would achieve nothing....your opinions please..

I do not know about the free masons society

but

if you want to know the secrets of the universe
do this

In a place where there is quiet and peace meditate on
what you want to know about his universe

Your intitution will reveal to you all that you need to know.

There is nothing that we do not know about this universe
its just that we do not know what we know.

They certainly won't let you in if you're a pronounced communist.

Many Freemasons are prominent businessmen, they certainly aren't a group for the working classes.

I can't be arsed to go into the beliefs of the higher echelons of the freemason order.

The majority of the Freemasons simply have a little 'private club', have gatherings lunches and so on. I would expect that your family are general only active, in the 'gentlemens' club' sense.

Private organizations can discriminate however they wish. Its why the boy scouts are allowed to refuse membership to gays.

Why would you want to be a freemason if you're a communist?

there is this wacky thing called the internet that can provide you with all the information on the Masons you need.

I'm sure once you do a bit of research you will not want to join....ever.

i was under the impression that you had to believe in god to become a mason?

surely that is gonna rule out a few communists....

They're very racist, sexist, and homophobic. Don't join these fucking ass-holes.

Find more stuff online, though.

In brief, they're fascists. In fact, I even think they sport that sexy symbol, the fasces, also used in the Roman Empire, by Mussolini, and in the United States.

the free masons are a giant family of bourgeoise christians, who look after each other and when the mason dies the family he leaves continue to be provided for legally medically financially, its a collection of bourgeoise, lawyers, doctors, dentists, and othe high paid jobs,

to there own kind they are giving supportive and genourous and where i live they do a fair chop for local charity, but to those on the uotside they are selfish racist biggots,

Freemasons aren't all Christians, I know a few.

Supposedly, though, it is compulsory to believe in God.

You also have to be a man, over 18 and white to get in.

Just watch a mans feet. Ten to two i tell ye :)

I've worked with a few before and generally speaking they are good people - but it is undeniable that being a member of such an organisation would be viewed with suspicion. After all if something is hosted behind closed doors, and it's members are expressly forbidden to divulge happenings, then we will begin to wonder exactly what is going on. That's just our (well, my) nature.

It's almost ironic really... communism and masonic practice is a big no-no... yet if you think about it the masonic idea is somewhat socialist - eliteist, but socialistic nonetheless

when people want to exclude themselves from society and make their own , doesn't that tell you something????

your family probably wont tell you becuase they cant.

the masons are a multi-layer cult, every layer learns that what they were taught on outer layers is false, or 'limited in its truth'. The outer layer is mainly just businessmen, policemen, and the ideas what they would flock to, ie proto-fascism, classical liberalism.

as you progress inside however, it can change radically depending on what you are looking for, which group you are in, and how much they trust you - ultimately, you reach a position where you no longer know whom or what to trust, whom or what to beleive, whom or what is telling the truth.

to get to this point (in the more esoteric groups), you have travelled through western mythology, learned historic languages, and had your internal mythos rearanged considerably, mainly beneficially, but always with a view to converting you to their overall beleif.

as to what that actually is... the big sectret is that there IS no big secret, no big overall beleif - those extremely few who pass through all the gates learn the supreme truth, that was kept guarded for long long centuries whilst the Church was attempting to exterminate those who opposed "gods truth"tm - a truth now exposed by postmodern science for all to see - that the universe you seek is the universe you see.

this beleif would have had you burned by the inquisition, and the jesuits would have hunted you down like a satanist dog.

however, this is only the inner of the inner circles - the outer circles are, as i said, run as any secret cult - money funnels in, and the members do things to suport one another to tie them into the group, through blackmail potential.

if you wish to learn the BEEG secrets that the masons hoard so desperately in their pathetic attempts to feel superior to everyone else, without wanting to sacrifice your intellectual morality and freedom to a cult, may i suggest you read 'prometheus rising', and 'cosmic trigger' by robert anton wilson, all easily downloadable from emule or purchasable from amazon.

in the meantime, may i STRONGLY suggest you dont let your natural curiosity to see what is beind this cult 'door' lead you to sacrificing your personal principles to join it - it is YOU who will most certainly regret it at the end, and you will kick yourself for not just reading these books.

I think secret societies are really childish. Any one who joins a secret society is a child and wants to think he is important because of his/her secretcy.

wont, no matter how fascinating or interesting something may be I will never sacrifice my beliefs. My beliefs and my love for someone are all that I am really certain of.

But if my beliefs were proven wrong then i would not cling to them.

I wouldn't call my interest in the freemasons curiosity, more like open mindedness. How can i disagree with something i don't understand? although im sure, judging from what i hear that they are an evil selfish cult. I probably would regret it for the rest of my life, being aware that they are anti-communist.

Anyway, thank you for the background info. i've been able to compile some more information on them and have built up a more realistic idea of who the freemasons are.

There is a free mason building down the street from where I live

There is a freemasons building along the road from the fish-and-chip shop in my wee village. When I was in school I used to try and spy on them - across the road from it the hill rises and there are lots of trees to hide amongst.

Most I ever saw was people coming and going though <_<

I once managed to get inside one of the freemason buildings, actually right into the "inner sanctum" or whatever they called it.

Who wants to be in the Freemasons, when you can be in the Commie Club?

Hell, the Commie club has way more meetings, a secret uniform, venues, the lot.

They've even got a secret handshake.

My fathers a mason and im a member of the younger form of Masonry known as Demolay and there is nothing so secret about this organization we have are own ways of doing things thats just it and are own views we have rituals that may seem weird such as the inituation for new members and due to dishonerable members this has leaked out along with the vows of secrecy it just so happens that about 70 percent of high ranking politicions are masons

Many of you are talking about masons buildings you see that show little activity well this is because those buildings are used for certain things only the main meeting halls are usually nicly tucked away in the woods and meetings are decided by the moon
