You could at least link a source, or tell of a specific book that reafirms what you're saying. Surely you don't expect us to take your word for it.

Cubans commemorated Che's birthday anniversary, on June 14th (http://www.embacubalebanon.com/che75anose.html)

Che Guevara was born Ernesto Guevara de la Serna on June 14th, 1928 That's a direct quote from the introduction of the Bison Books edition of Guerilla Warfare. Introduction was written by Marc Becker (http://www2.truman.edu/~marc/), who happens to be a Latin American historian.

I go by Anderson's book, that says Ernesto's birth certificate says June 14th, but he was really born one month earlier.

Please keep in mind that forums arent like chat rooms, it would make it alot easier if you would put more supporting information in posts. You're going against multiple officially published books but you're not giving any information to support you're point, or even a link.

Where can I find a link for the very first chapter of Jon Lee Anderson's book, "Che Guevara: A Revolutionary Life"? Within the first 2 paragraphs, it describes how Celia had the certificate changed, so it seemed as though the birth coincided with her marriage to Guevara Lynch, instead of being one month earlier, on May 14th.

This should work:

It is because only three people knew about his real birthday at the time he took his trip. Celia, Guevara Lynch, and the person who changed it. I am not sure if he ever knew he was one month older.

I've confused.really? thats really incredible. :o I cant believe such a historical common mistake!
I missed it,I had a plan for it :(

but wait,if Che thought that was born in 14 june, lets think as the same way.
he probably has been shocked learning the truth after his death!(this sentence is based on some religious believes.so please tolerate it!)

Of course, it will be only right to honor him on his "believed" birthday as well, so do not fret about missing the real one. He has another coming in a month. :-)

try reading the start of the thread, you'll see there that it is the 14th of may

june 14th, is his "offical" birthday, as in the one on his birth certificate, but he was born on may 14th

It doesn't really matter since he's dead. I don't think his birthday had anything to do with the Revolution.

Amusing as it is his actual birthday, but I am unsure he was ever told. He celebrated in June next to mine. :P
