It's really upsetting to read this. The Embargo has been around for decades without result. Cuba leads in literacy, birth deaths, bio-technologies and so on and so on. The US goverment needs to realize that after Fidel, Cuba will continue Communist. The goverment there is already self-sufficient without Fidel. He is a kind of symbol just like the Pope to Catholics. The Embargo must end and we must do what we can to lift it!!!!

These measures are nothing Cuba hasn't stood up to before..The diplomatic strains with Peru and Mexico are more worrying.. It's a temporary appeasment of Florida's immigrant population ahead of the election, back in Cuba these initiatives always tend to strenghten the people's unity..
