Just like the re-emphasize how sweet Rage Against the Machine is. I am sure alot of ya are into it....having the views you all do.
I would have to say I am more into liking the actual music that liking what the music is trying to say/represent. But Rage definantly rocked; still does.
The 'Rage Leftovers' as some would like to put it, now the members of Audioslave with the addition of Chris Cornell @ the mic aren't in any comparision to the Rage of old times. But I definantly am liking it. A little more of a 'chill' out vibe to it...but can listen to the CD all day.
Guess just want to know what you all like of Rage...and maybe kinda about Audioslave too.
Again...I am a n00b to these forums...just checked it out not too long ago when actually I gave personal tribute speech on Che. So if this topic has been discussed....don't be shy to discuss again!

Welcome to the boards...I'm relativly new hear too...
As for Rage, both the actual music and what it stands for is superb in my opinion, there first album is up there with 'Never Mind the Bollocks' as the definative music that needs to be jumped about too. Audioslave are petty cool too, but in a more traditional rock style. Let's face it, Tom Morello's still gonna be playing amazing riffs no matter what band he's in...

RATM are indeed a True band, standing for what they believe in, throughout their whole career. Sadly im not a huge fan of Audioslave, because why do they have some pompus prick of a lead singer. Zack De La Rocha and the rest of rage are argueably one of the greatest leftist bands the world has ever seen.

Yes, driving Hummers and living in mansions is real "revolutionary".

Ive grown out of Rage Against the Machine , I like Audioslave much better than Rage but they will never beat Soundgarden . There are much much better political bands out there then RATM, The Clash for example.
Spoonmon can you explain why you think Chris Cornell is a pompous prick? He is one of my favorite singers.

I've heard alot of people around Seattle say that Cornell used to be a huge prick. One time he even called one of my friends a "fag" while on stage. But I don't really know, never met the guy.
Man I love ratm, and they have to be one of the best bands ever!
Anyway Chris Cornell IS a bit of a pompus prick 'cos the ratm members wanted to call the group "Citizen," but Cornell objected, saying it "sounds too political"
Anyway people what are your favorite ratm songs. I find it too hard to choose, but wake up, bullet in the head, bulls on parade, and calm like a bomb are mine

I am one of the few desenters who thinks that rap metal is fucking the bain of society.
I cant stand RATM, i think they suck.
The human voice is one of the finest musical instruments in existance, RATM in that are a comlete travesty.

Well not exactly my cup of tea but who can hate a band with the lyrics:
Fuck you, I won't do what ya tell me!
I heard that when I was very young and never knew who sang it until I got political by which stage it fitted the mood perfectly. Enigma you have to admit that Morello is a progressive guitarist.
