The Communist Party of Nepal called for a general strike today and tomorrow in Nepal. This strike was carried out by schools, factories and businesses. They are demanding that the King of Nepal re-instate parliament and allow free-elections again. They are also asking him to allow a referendum about whether to abolish the monarchy. The civil war between the Monarchy and the workers has been going on since 1996 with the Monarchy now losing much of the eastern and central areas of Nepal.
