I think the book can be found in most fantasy sections of book stores, or, when all else fails, on Amazon.

The 80's wasn't as good of a decade for movies as the seventies were but there are still plenty of good eighties movies. Raging Bull perhaps the best sports related movie was released in 1980. The Shining and Fatal Attraction are two of the best thrillers from the eighties.

Raiders of the Lost Ark
E.T. The Extra Terrestrial
Blade Runner
Platoon
Body Heat
The Terminator
The Empire Strikes Back
Return of the Jedi
Die Hard
Amadeus
Ghandi
Full Metal Jacket

Attack of the Killer Tomatoes. If that doesn't count as '80s B-comedy, I don't know what does...

But come to think of it, the '80s was a completely shite decade and I regret living out a major part of my childhood through it. Being a child of the '90s would have been much cooler.

Gandhi was pretty good...dunno if it accurately portrayed the man, but it was a great film nonetheless.

I can't think of any 80's movies besides the ones already listed, Ironic.. since the 80's is like the day before yesterday for me.

None except this one:

The Falcon and the Snowman (1985)

True story of childhood friends who sell secrets to the Soviets. Chris Boyce/ The Falcon (Timoty Hutton--cute, cute, cute!) who trains Falcons and gets job working for CIA, becomes dissillusioned with the US Gov. --- and his drug-dealer friend, Daulton Lee/The Snowman, hence, the name, (Sean Penn) who does it for the money.

last line has a whopping impact!

check it out if you haven't seen it.

I love Spinal Tap.
Gremlins is funny.
Risky Business.
Who Framed Roger Rabbit.
Stop Making Sense (so it's a concert movie)

On a totally stupid note, I have seen many amps that go to 11. One of them didn't have a 1 though.. go figure.

There was a scene in Karate Kid that seemed like a rip-off of an old Japanese movie, Musashi Miyamoto (yes, I know it was based on a book) in which Musashi shows how tough he is by catching multiple flies with chop sticks.
