one should be very wary of these parties- the IRSP/INLA has a history of crime, drugs, sectarian murder and internal feuds.
the recent murder of patrick campbell in Dublin is a prime example- a northern who went to dublin and got sucked into the organised crime/drugs and ended up being butchered by a rival gang...

Tyrone I think criminals always attach themselves to the progessive movement, in the look out for their own private ends, we must remember that these people give the genuine movement a bad name and that the IRSP
have given us many genuine martyrs for the cause.

the IRSM is a wider term for the IRSP/INLA. it is true that the IRSM as a wholoe has had a lot of potential revolutionary leaders in its mist- Ta Power and bernadette devlin (she left a year after it was formed claiming costello was too 'militant'). Ta Power was murdered in the feuds, and often these feuds included sadistic torture. it cannot be denied that the IRSM should have a future, but it needs to win the propaganda war and try to reach out to the protestant working class. i was impressed to read that all IRSP members elected to councils took thier seats to ensure that those who elected them had a voice in government
