Josip Broz...also known as Marshall Tito. He was able to "shut out" the world's influence for most of his rule. Honestly, I don't know much about him.

I will try to look for more (if I remember :unsure: ) it's a rather big subject. Just on the stalin-tito split you could write alot of books. This is a marxist analysis of the break Behind the Stalin-Tito Clash (http://www.tedgrant.org/works/4/8/yugoslavia.html) . But most of what I know comes from discussing with people from the area. Maybe you could be a bit more precise on what you want to know?
