Any tips for relaxed music, that are good for meditating, listening to before sleeping etc.? It would be nice if they consist of nature sounds like wind, water etc.

I always enjoy classical music, and the likes of Mozart, Chopin, Bach and Handel are good for relaxing I find, the ones that especially spring to mind are:
Albinoni's adagio, Handel's Messiah, Bach's Brandenberg Concerto, Mozart's symphony number 40 and 41.
I also find Bob Marley very relaxing, as is some Cuban music such as the Buena Vista album.

The song amber, by 311 is good for listening to before you go to sleep. I'm not really into "relaxing" music, but I'm feelin that song. Pink Floyd would work too. Speaking of them, (him?) the lead singer, (shit I'm not sure if it's a band or what the fuck?!) came to my school last week for some christian thing during lunch. I didn't bother to check it out.
Slayer would work also

Pink Floyd are the names of two guys. Pink Anderson and Floyd Council. I highly doubt that either came to your school. The band which is named after these two gentleman was originally led by Syd Barret, I also doubt he came to your school. He is not a mentally stable person, and hasn't been for over 30 years. You are probably talking about David Gilmour. I had no idea he was a Christian ****.

My only complaint? NOT LONG ENOUGH!
Absolutely fantastic album ;)
David Gilmour's religious? I had no idea... Syd Barrett probably is, and if so it really is just delusion - he probably thinks he saw god after drinking a pint of acid
Roger Waters I could imagine being a christian... he did try to shaft all the other band members over the lyrics of DSOTM after all

It could have been Waters. Did they mention anything about the speaker being a former member of Pink Floyd?

Everything you described; relaxing, listening to before sleeping, and nature sounds all complete into one perfect compilation: Narada Decade (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B000005P54/ref=pd_sim_music_1/002-0063151-9360039?v=glance&s=music). I own all of the Narada volumes, and let me be the first to tell you, absolutely brilliant.
Whether you find yourself on the valley floor of Yosemite, engulfed in magical philosophy, or merely trying to rest your eyes, Narada will appease you.
Narada is a new age classical mix. However don't let the new age fool you, Narada is absolutely brilliant, and I wouldn't have it any other way.
If you listen to any of these recommendations, take a whole hearted consideration for Narada. I couldn't explain in words how much it will change your entire day.

I agree in the main it's great, but there are a few tracks where he starts to wail... I tell ya thats not a good sound when you're chilling at the end of a night.

Well I WOULD, but the nearest one is 150 miles away. Next time I'm up I'll have a look.

I wasn't especially impressed with the album as a whole, but damn right it's good for a chillout and the opening track is just perfect.
A few others whilst I'm here:
Mogwai - All apart from 'Ten Rapid'
A Silver Mount Zion - He has left us alone but shafts of light sometimes grace the corners of our rooms
Grandaddy - Under the western freeway is a safe bet, else broken down comforter collection, or signal to snow radio (ignore Sumday and the Sophtware Slump, it's NOT relaxing)

There are a lot of underground hip-hop songs which I find very relaxing.
Atmosphere - Vampires, If I Was Santa Clause
Blackalicious - If I May
Deltron 3030 - 3030
Hieroglyphics - Make Your Move, Miles to the Sun
Jedi Mind Tricks - I Against I, Retaliation
K-Os - Heaven Only Knows
Living Legends - Flawless
Pharoahe Monch - The Truth
RJD2 - Smoke & Mirrors
Sage Francis - Runaways
Zion I - Inner Light, Creation, basically everything
Swollen Members - Deep End, Consumption
Talib Kweli - Love Language
Aceyalone - Master Your High
Personally, many of my favorite 'mellow' rap songs are by Aesop Rock. Try Maintenance, Daylight, Boombox, One Brick, or Coma.
The list above is by no means comprehensive, obviously. Think of it as a dessert sampler.
Almost all reggae is good for the purpose of relaxing (and everything else). Some songs by the Pixies are pretty relaxing, like Wave of Mutilation.
Radiohead have some great mellow songs. Try No Surprises, Thinking About You, Black Star, Lull, or Go To Sleep. Same with the Velvet Underground. Lisa Says, Pale Blue Eyes, Sweet Jane, and Stephanie Says are all worth checking out.
That's all I have the drive to say for now.

Any of their EP's will do as a snoozer - it was only the albums that really got the 'rocky' stuff - with but a few single track exceptions.
Avoid like the plague if what you want is to be happy though. Ditto with Portishead. Both are fantastic, but downright depressing
Carole King can be pretty good sometimes too - certianly if you've never explored her works then I'd strongly advise it.

Um yeah, I asked a guy who went and he said it was two guys ;one of them being a former member or something like that. I would have gone but one of my friends told me that the classroom B138 doesn't exist and to top that off someone else said that it was for the christian get-togethers that they have every week. I talked to a kid that went and he said there is indeed a B138 :)
