NEW WELFARE REFORM, ACT NOW!!!!

President Bushs' Administration is planning to cut welfare aid to familys' and have them work for less than minimum wage, as a way to cut welfare spending. The plan is to take welfare recipients and have them in a work study program pay them a slave wage and teach them to work, unfortunately those who will pay are the children of those on welfare. Welfare has problems but to cut it and give them less to teach them a lesson is not the right way to go.

To stop this PLEASE!!!! write your, Congress person and let them know you are against it, this is vital since it will be coming up for review soon!!!!!

NOT REALY GETTING PAID TO STUDY. THEY ARE BEING TRAINED TO GET OFF WELFARE, WHICH IS A GOOD THING BUT! THEY WANT TO PAY THEM LESS THAN MINIMUM WAGE. HOW ARE THEY GOING TO BUY FOOD? OR PAY RENT MAKING 3$ AN HOUR?

IM SAYING WELFARE REFORM IS NEEDED, THE GOVT. SHOULD HELP PEOPLE GET OFF WELFARE NO JUST THROW THEM OFF.

AS FOR HAVING A LIMITED TIME ON WELFARE, THEIR SHOULD BE, BUT WITH A CLEAR WARNING, THAT WELFARE IS ONLY TO HELP YOU UNTIL YOU CAN SUSTAIN YOURSELF, NOT A MEANS BY WHICH TO LIVE; WHICH IS WHAT THEY WANT TO DO NOW, IN A VERY UN-HUMAN WAY. WE HAVE LAWS THAT FORBID PAYING A WORKER LESS THAN MINIMUM WAGE AND OUR OWN GOVT. IS SURPASSING THOSE LAWS FOR A QUICK FIX TO A BIG PROBLEM.

AS FOR THE KID'S THEY ARE INNOCENT AND SHOULD BE TAKEN CARE OF.

IN SUMMARY MY MAIN ARGUMENT IS THAT THE GOVT. IS TRYING TO BREAK THE MINIMUM WAGE LAW AND SCREW OVER THE PEOPLE ON WELFARE IN AN ATTEMPT TO FIX THING'S. I KNOW THEIR IS A BETTER SOLUTION. WHAT DO YOU THINK?

when will people learn, you find the people jobs they don't have time to study while their kids are on the streets at 11 at night. Just find the people jobs they can learn on the job, and don't pay them slave wages, pay them enough to stay financially stable while the government assists in finding them permanant jobs

Not at all. Welfare should be available for anyone out of work, for aslong as they are out of work. There is a difference between people who arent working and people are fraudulently taking from the government.
