My revolution is born out of love of my people not hatred toward others

I dont fight because i hate or envy the rich , this could probably be said by all revolutionaries (im socialist by the way)

I 'love' my 'people', in the way you imply.

But I also hate the rich.

I think many Leftists will share my sentiments, why shouldn't we hate the rich?

I love the people. All of them. I dont hate the ritch for their ignorance. That is not fair. Yes alot of them see whats going on, but to not see whats wrong with it, is ignorance.

why shouldn't we hate the rich?

If we hate them, they'll hate us. They currently own the means of production that we recquire and hence we should either be sucking up their asses or keeping a low profile if we realistically wish to see a revolution.

Socialists and Communists should remember that the ultimate aim of revolutionary struggle is not to punish or enslave the rich, but to pull them down from their positions to become equil in society, with the same oppertunities and benifits available to all.

I detest capitalism, not the capitalists.

Pointless one liners at it's finest. Please supply evidence for your statement, or don't bother making it. Do try to construct sentences as well - I know the bible set a really bad example with the whole 'Jesus Wept' thing, but that's no reason for you to act like an illiterate.

When i went to Mexico, i felt comfortable being around the poor, because i could have a decent conversation with them. :S

Exactly...I'm a leftist because my family and I have lived through the terrible impact of Capitalism. It's made me want to struggle for the voiceless and the exploited...so they can live in peace and harmony without hunger. Speaking for myself...I hardly ever think of myself (can be negative at times)....so to me it's really TWISTED for people to make Leftists look like we're envious, violent, or with negative intentions when all we want to do is help the poor.

Nothing useful to say Lucid? then don't bother. You are merely reacting on instinct: you don't like what's being said, so you try to distract the conversation. Either start conversing or shut up please :)

I don't. I'm in this to help the rich learn what assholes they are being by retaining, hell hoarding their wealth -and where this will lead them in the long run ;)

As for WHY the right has this desire to pervert the world-view of the left? Well, it's simple misinformation tactics. It worked incredibly well against those damned commies in the fifties, so until we prove that it doesn't do a damned thing they're gonna keep it up.

I would certainly rather have a conversation along that lines, then proceed to mug said american rather than hold the conversation you know is going on about "those damned beggars"

Sick.

"In the name of the best within you, do not sacrifice this world to those who are its worst. In the name of the values that keep you alive, do not let your vision of man be distorted by the ugly, the cowardly, the mindless in those who have never achieved his title. Do not lose your knowledge that man's proper estate is an upright posture, an intransigent mind and a step that travels unlimited roads. Do not let your fire go out, spark by irreplaceable spark, in the hopeless swamps of the approximate, the not-quite, the not-yet, the not-at-all. Do not let the hero in your soul perish, in lonely frustration for the life you deserved, but have never been able to reach. Check your road and the nature of your battle. The world you desired can be won, it exists, it is real, it is possible, it's yours.

"But to win it requires your total dedication and a total break with the world of your past, with the doctrine that man is a sacrificial animal who exists for the pleasure of others. Fight for the value of your person. Fight for the value of your pride. Fight for the essence of that which is man: for his sovereign rational mind. Fight with the radiant certainty and the absolute rectitude of knowing that yours is the Morality of Life and that yours is the battle for any achievement, any value, any grandeur, any goodness, any joy that has ever existed on this earth.

"You will win when you are ready to pronounce the oath I have taken at the start of my battle -- and for those who wish to know the day of my return, I shall now repeat it to the hearing of the world:

"I swear -- by my life and my love of it -- that I will never live for the sake of another man, nor ask another man to live for mine."

I don't hate anyone, but I do however, strongly dislike aristocrats who obtain their wealth by exploiting the labours of working class, and in turn receive huge tax breaks=which leaves their own nation too poor to support its people, but that does not mean that all rich people are fat cats..........
just most of them :)

peace yall

Im that way for the same reasons as EnemE....but also becasue look what we are doing to ourselves as human beings! Its time for us to move on. We technologically advance, but then we have the same primitive attitudes against each other, becasue we feel we have to in order to survive in our "civilizations".

And we are destroying our planet. The people in control are ignorant and then we are too buisy and enveloped to go make a change. This has to stop. Our polarized system is like rubbing an open wound in dirt, and it is cutting the worlds circulation short. And reforms are not the answer. Why cut off the branches when the tree is rotten?
We are going to be the very end of ourselves if we dont change our ways,

In the grand scheme, for me, its not even all about the ritch, its about every thing that exists.

DaCuBaN
11th May 2004, 01:22
I can't agree wholly with you, but in the majority yes.

Reform is a good place to start though - so long as it's not done as a concession

The problem is this element exists, and masquerades itself as the true left. It's rather hard to defend an ideology when so many take it in vein - be it from the extreme left OR the centre.

The irony is many of your comrades that post here are wealthy, Oh they may not earn a million dollars a year but They certainly are not living a substance lifestyle like the truly poor in the third world. I can you really call yourself poor if you have PC and internet access?
