I'm new to these boards. I don't like to talk a lot about myself, but could talk for days on end about other people, so if you have any questions, ask. Otherwise, judge me by my views, not by the way I view myself.

a little about myself?

I'm new.

I'm smarter than most of my friends, which I assume most of you are as well. I'm going into college, and have a hard time expressing my lefty views in a small town (180,000) with a majoirty of WASPs in the area.

I've come to the conclusion that communism/socialism is the preferance of intelectuals, since I've never read a sibgle books by one of Capitalism or Anarchy's "great minds" because there aren't any.

Well, first piece of advice, read more.

Anarchism is Communist/Socialist. It just recognizes the danger the state poses.

the avartar would be beer-spittng. I'm not sure how much there is to say about the art of beer-spitting.

I guess my question is that if socialism is communism with a state, and communism has no state, how is anarchy different from communism?

It isn't, I'm an Anarcho-Communist and many of the Anarchist members here are the same.
