SS, you pissed many a people off when you remarked that all jews were "greedy" and "dirty." When IWDY confronted you on this, you backtracked and said you just meant the Jews in Israel. But are you saying that all jews in Israel are "greedy" and "dirty" as well? I do not like Israel's policies, but this does not mean I hate all Israelis. but it sounds as if you hate the people, not the structure.

You call yourself a leftist, yet you use the language of oppressors. I would like to see a true apology from you, I am not attacking you ( I am restraining myself from yelling at you) I just want you to take a good look at the errors in your words and thoughts.

When Stalinsoldiers singles out the Israeli government for being anti-communist when they're certainly not alone in that category, it shows how much he really knows about what he's talking about. Hmmmmm, although I'm still wary of Stalinssoldier being a Stalinist from his anti-semitic comments, I can kind of see his point with the name. Maybe he is trying to embody some respect for the Soviet soldier of that period who defeated Nazi Germany(no thanks to Stalin of course). Still, even though I share this respect, it wouldn't exactly be my name choice, but I think the community should lay off him a little about being a Stalinist, unless he starts revealing through his posts that he is in fact one. Then we could endlessly attack him :)

It hasn't been clarified whether he was referring to the Jewish religion or Jewish ethnic group, so I think a branding as racist is premature. I suppose anti-semitic would fit the bill regardless though, although not that I think there should be a horrible connotation with attacking someones religion, such as anti-semitic brings.

I see what your saying and there is an important difference between attacking a religious group and an ethnic group. I think it is legitimate to attack someone's religion. However anti-semitism was a word developed in the nineteenth century rwhich related to the new movement of attacking jews as an ethnic group.

With regard to his comments, the term "Jews" refers to an ethnic group. Even when explaining his original comments, nothing he said related to any aspects judaism as a religion.

The fact that his final explanation is that he meant to say "The Israeli government" proves that at no point etiher when he said dirty jews or later, was he thinking of a purely religious group as the Israeli government itself includes ethnic jews who are not religious.
