The Al-Madi army after the Guerilas and forgien fighters they are the strongest opposion to the U.S occupation forces....I don't beilive in radical Islamic armies or anything but do you think this "Al-Madi army" will drive back the US forces into the Sea??? or do you think they will be crushed like so many other failed Iraqi freedom movmenets?
That individual "army" will probably be crushed. But the resistance, as a whole, will not be crushed anytime soon.

the mahdi army isn't just an army it's more than that it's an army fighting until the a person called al-mahdi arrives and this person is assumed to come before the end of the world and he'll unite the muslims against there enemies and rule the world with wisdom and just. so we're not talking about a sader or anyones army it's a shia'at army that is blessed by god as they say and you can't believe how much these fighters are suicidable. i don't believe that they will be crushed easily and even if there leaders got caught the'll continue because there main leader (almahdi) didn't come yet. for me i don't like this army but for the resistance if satan can help then he's my ally. and that's why the great iraqi resistance contains islamics, liberalists, communists, leftists, baathists and arab freedom fighters from all the arabic countries.
viva la resistance.

The militia's the expression of a larger political movement. The Ba'athist regime was unable to exterminate the Sadrist movement so I doubt the U.S. will be able to either.
I don't doubt that the U.S. will regain control of Najaf, Karbala, and other cities, but there will be ongoing guerilla attacks throughout most of Iraq now, instead of just the center-north as previously.

ok first of all comrade zeke ,not all muslim fighters are ''radical ismalic armies'', muslims basically fight with religon in thiere minds but thats not the only thing with think about , like anyone else our country being occupied is not something we accept and iraqis like all arabs also highly belive in thiere pride!
getting to the point i actually think that ''el mahdi'' 's army will have a strong effect on iraqi resistance, not only because there effective and and becaue their attacks usually are strong but because their guerilla warefare style is reasonably new for the present iraqi risistance and it would influence other groups to follow a similiar ''trend ''.
acg4_9 i think your talking about christ ,we think similar to christians that hell come back and lead the faithfull and establish his kingdom ....anywayz ''el mahdi'' basically means the enlighted or the enlighter i cant translate it exactly , i doubt thought that this more than a name , there not waithing for christ !!
and there not susicdebel , they want to live but unlike westernes we place a higher value on our country ,religon, people than on our own lives!!
im willing to die right now for any arab country if it will have effect on freeing it , (im not that religious but im also willing to die for my religon if someone was trying to ruin it in some way)
so what does that make me??????

This is a little off the subject of the Al-Madhi army but.....I had this Russian living in my house of coarse he is all pro-left for was brainwashed in the Soveit Union. Well he is so deluded that he thinks that there is no real crime in muslim cities and the Muslims respect their woman, they may not give them eqaul rights but they treat them decently. I find this extreamly hard to beilive.
The Al-Madhi army to qoute one Acg4_9 is not made of Communists and Liberetarians. You know how big the Iraqi Communist party is........... I am sorry the illegal one under Saddam was around 200 members! I dout the word Liberetrian exists in many Arab countires. The Al-Madhi is purly a Shitie army dedicated to Allah and the teachings of Islam. I highly respect Islam and it culture but i dout many leftists let alone pro-Communists would fight under a religious banner that is still keeping woman enslaved behind vales. :(
But they are trying to drive out the Americans and form a Democratic Islamic State so I am happy, not to be a supporter of terriosm I just think they have a cause to stop Imperilism!

lmao the concept of radical muslim rebels doing gods work being communist is one taht never crossed my mind, there is reason for that too, its an absurd idea.
the rebels are merely jeaolous of the wests success and exploitation, they want equality on capitalist trade level, they are not interested in social reform, they are not interested in relieving they're women from the oppression of islam, and anyone who thinks islam and communism are similar needs shooting,

were not enslaved under vales!!!
why do you always assume that we ''women'' dont have freedome , im egyption and my parents are religious but they never forced me to do anything!!
i knoe that genarally speaking that we dont have our rights but the basically beecause of ignorance it has nothing to do with islam ...
and seriously wearing a vale is the least of our problems , if i ever choose to wear a vail its goona be because i wana do it out of faith not because ive been forced !!!
were basically not all idiotic fanatics

Even if they try to attack and defeat the Al-Mahdi army, the resistance itself would not be effected because as long as the military remains, the resistance will always be alive.

A religious fundamentalist that has no place in a communist society.

This idea of pushing the American forces to the sea is possible, but only if Iraqi rebels are united with their brothers from other muslamic nations ie.saudi arabia, syria, pakistan, etc. This would be non other than Jihad vs. McWorld
however, I really do hope that America would just leave Iraq, they have simply tried to put out a fire with gasoline, and already undermined the United Nations, making themselves look like the world's biggest Impirialist Pigs
Shame on U g.w. Bush
peace to all of the brothers and sisters worldwide fighting for freedom and equality!

Personally I can see the bonus in Jihad versus McWorld, but i can also see the dangers. By using armed combat to fight capitalists and oppressors we would in some respects become as fundamentalistic, misguided and brutal as the people we fight. Jihad was proclaimed when the crusaders invaded, and after many years, the islamic people had forgotten their wise art and culture and had immersed themselves in the art of war against the invaders. They forgot much of their culture and became what the crusaders originally set out to destroy, barbaric hordes of ruthless killers. this culture has been partially restored, but by proclaiming an other Jihad the islamic people could well again forget what they are fighting FOR in favor of what they are fighting AGAINST.
Do not forget your culture and the messages of your religion, although people may disagree with you, do not become like the enemy you fight. Because by doing so, you toss aside all that is beautiful in your cause.
