What does everyone think about the swiss joining the UN?
I always thought it was quite good to have one nuetral country in the world, a place where the truth could be told and where world affairs could be conducted nuetrally.
I think the people have voted for joining the UN due to a fear that the world doesn't respect switzerland because they weren't in the UN. I could be wrong on this, it's not based on any experience in the matter just a few news reports I heard prior to the voting.
Any Swiss folks who can fill me in on the details?
