Wouldn't it be a little less hassling if you just waited till he gets voted out of office come November?

How can filling out a petition be hassling?
Besides, theres no guerantee that he's going to run fairly in the next election, he might steal it like he did the last one (http://www.thirdworldtraveler.com/Michael_Moore/Very_American_Coup_SWM.html).

It's not the actual act of filling out a petition that is hassling, I think it would be all the bullshit that comes afterwards. Just wait is all I'm saying cause I really don't think Americans'll be stupid enough to keep him for a second term. I don't know much about this Nader fellow anyways...

Coencidentally Nader founded this student organization of which I am a member, Massachusetts Student Public Interest Research Group, or MASSPIRG (http://www.masspirg.org) (there are PIRGS for many different states). I heard from my coordinator a couple months ago that the pirgs were, "taking heat," after Nader joined the election.

Thats whats what I meant when I talked about not running fairly, Americans didn't really want him the first time, but his family's influence in the media and supreme court was too much.

Can you please post a thread where the Rest of the World could sign a petition to have Bu$h removed?

I doubt that there would be such a petition. The US government only cares about the opinions of its own citizens because they have some voting power. It would have no reason to care about internationals.
That the rest of the world would dislike an American polititian or the government is nothing new to them.

Aside from being an exercise in futility, there's an undercurrent of subservience to this entire petition drive that I find frankly disturbing. Why should we go to Congress, petition in hand, asking them to exercise a power they don't even deserve? Most of them can't claim to represent the people any more than Bush does. The idea (promulgated by the petition text) that Bush "misled" Congress into basically handing over its constitutional war powers to the executive branch is ridiculous; it's only now that the war has gone sour that Kerry et al. are whining about being "misled" so as to take political advantage of the situtation. Anyone who had an even rudimentary understanding of the facts knew then and now that Bush's war drive was based entirely on lies, distortions and half-truths -- yet Congress, as a collective body, went along with it anyway, just as they've gone along with much of the rest of Bush's reactionary agenda for the past three years. That they voted for the war resolution means they either could not be bothered to find out the truth and swallowed Bush's lies whole, or they knew full well it was all bullshit and voted for the war anyway, for the same imperalist and opportunist reasons that drove the Bush administration to push those lies in the first place. Both of those scenarios -- laziness or malice -- constitute a tremendous betrayal of the public's trust and make them as worthy of impeachment as Bush is. Nader's petition seems to be based on the idea that these same congressmen who dragged us into this war in the first place should have an opportunity to "redeem" themselves. How many chances should the people give them?

Yeah baby, interesting how the Republicans were doing this to Clinton as he was leaving offfice just to slam his rep and attack liberals, let's just call it an insurance policy to get his ass out!

The American congressmen will be in power no batter what we do, short of violence. But while they are in power it cannot hurt to lobby them and try to convince them to commit at least a somewhat decent act, like impeaching Bush. To lobby a body does not imply agreeing with it, it’s simply trying to manipulate it.
On a separate note, there is one congresswoman who I do not think is too bad, Maxine Waters ^_^ Mostly because she was the one who told Americans, and the international community, that President Aristide was kidnapped by American forces. I looked her up on the internet and found out that she has had a very progressive history.

There is another place to call for Bush's impeachment on the internet:
VoteToImpeach.org (http://www.votetoimpeach.org)
This has been up for some time. I added my name to this an eternity ago.
FFM,
Ralph Nader is a living legend. He has battling corporate power since the 1960s. I suggest you look into his actions. I may vote for Nader for Prez this year... I have not decided yet.
