When I joined originally I was an authoritarian market-socialist and was strongly against Anarchism. I thought the world should be similar to Singapore, but with many more people working for the all-powerful government.

After reading a lot on this site and looking at some of the books that were mentioned, my views have changed. I now think everyone should be equal in terms of wealth, and my beleifs on power have changed. While I support the view that socialism is a more constructive path to communism than Anarchism, sometimes I will side with Anarchists since Anarchy is the only way any of us can see communism in our lifetimes. However, I believe authoritarian rule is often a necessary evil in the beginning stages of socialism. So now, I tend to contradict myself when I talk about power.

But anyway, this is a great forum. I've learned a lot, and will learn a lot more, from reading the stuff here.

hmm, on a side note, Raisa's and Digital Nirvana's avatars look great together like that.

anyway i remember my first day on these boards. I remember that I was looking for a good place to go to for political discussions and discussions on society. I found more than what i was looking for, so i was excited. My first post was on (i believe) Che's failed Congo campaign. I was reading Anderson's biography at the time.

I didn't have the internet at the time so I didn't start actually posting till like a month later (and my dumb ass couldn't figure out what was wrong with my password  )

anyways, yeah, i don't remember my first post, you an elephant if you can :P , but I know it was in politics. And then it all went to hell from there...stupid chit chat and it's interesting conversations <_<

Nateddi can be found at www.socialistfront.org/forum or possibly www.ernesto-guevara.com/forum. He is called Nateddi at socialist front but not at enresto-guevara, also socialist front is dead now.

He left this site because he thought that this forum had a majority of bourgeois socialists.

My first post, that I was later restricted for (and similar posts):

I thought the point of this thread was criticising the anachronistic policy of the U.S. towards the DPRK. Its palpable that the DPRK could not avoid being hit by retaliation from the U.S. in a nuclear conflict. No country in the world as of yet is fully capable of protecting itself from nuclear attack. However, there are many scenarios that could arise from a U.S.- DPRK conflict and it is to this that the existence of nuclear weapons in the DPRK is pertinent.

There are different stories as really it is not known what they have. The 2-3 nukes you refer to are fission bombs, their existence has supposedly been confirmed by the Americans. However Atomic bombs such as these have a relatively small destructive capacity. What is unknown, and indeed more important, is whether the DPRK has thermonuclear bombs. They have the plutonium... as you can geuss the DPRK is likely to keep very secretive. Even if they don't have them they may claim they do for tactical reasons.

The existence of the Taepo Dong-2 ICBM has been confirmed by the Americans. It was sighted by satellite at the DPRK's Sanum-dong research and developement facility. From its proportions it was deducted that the range was at least 2,200 miles. It is thought that it could be up to 6,200 miles. You are correct ComradeJunichi that there is no certainty that thier weapons can hit the U.S. there is a high possibility though.
