New pictures have been released here in the UK of British soldiers pissing on Iraqi prisoners and reports of hitting prisoners with rifle butts.

How can US and UK forces seriously plead for Iraqi support when they act like this?

It's remarkable what a hypocrite image most people have of war, especially in the US. After this pictures were shown, support for the war decreased again. These people really didn't know that war isn't about happy faces and acts of heroism. It's really sick to observe how efficient the US Imperialist Propaganda system is.

I think it is PATHETIC the way alot of us automatically nick-pick the "fake" pictures of the supposed mood landings, and the "fake" pictures of the crowd when saddams statue was toppled.

But then we automatically buy whatever we are told, if it is line with our personal politics. This is very dangerous.

Regarding the british pictures.

- each scene is static: no sign of assult taking place
- quality. The quality of the pissing one alone is very unlikely: considering the environment/circumstance (so experts argue)
- victims supposedly beaten for 8 hours, suffering broken jaws etc; have clean white t-shirts on
- one has a t-shirt on with the old iraqi flag. Yet comes from Basra - where hatred for all it (the flag) represents is intense (shia)
- absence of sweat, grime, blood on clothes and bodies
- victims do not show the signs of being attacked - e.g. foetal position, strained muscles, legs not closing after being being hit in the balls (guys know how important this point is)
- no regimental markings on uniforms
- uniforms look brand new
- rifles look brand new
- serious "issues" with the rifles: e.g. not the type being used in Iraq
- Truck where beatings took place; arn't being used in Iraq
- Intelligence officer Tresylan (trained SAS and CIA officers) argues "There are so many things that do not ring true. when i saw them i laughed"


Of course they could well be true. But there are so many flaws.

Yes, it's their fault. Partly. Whatever the circumstances are, we allways have a choice. We don't need to listen to propaganda, we don't need to obey, we don't need to tune in Fox 24/7. There are plenty of other sources. Even when you don't have other sources available, you can figur out that US gov't is blatantly lying. We are not sheeps you know, we do have an own will. On Saturday, in the British news it said the identities of those responsible had been confirmed. That makes it much more likely.
