I think this book more than any other has stressed to me what can drive a human being to revolution and another such as the French Revolution will never occur.

If you haven't read it i really would reccommend it, gives a great insight into why the masses were driven to rebel and the extent to which they entered a blood rage.

This is one of his beter works, the descriptivness does not take too much away from what is being said. The plot line is a highly emotional one involving human interaction over a revolutionary backdrop. It also highlights the possibility of uncaring mob mentallity and lost goals. The rights that exist to day would be fundamental to the fair trials during a revolutionary period. In this book I overlooked the unfaesable use of coinincidence (although not as bad as say Hardy) because of the cleverness in the creation of Carton.

Sorry about the bullshit...but it is a good read, if you're a bit bored,.
