something very strange which you may or may not find funny happened to me
I was in my global class at the end of the period when i closed my binder on the cover I taped a pic of che and marcos. so my teacher who is a really cappie leaned over to me
and said "why do you have a picture of SHAY RAVARA on your binder?"
I told her, her spanish pronounciation is horrible
the walked away she looked so suprised because she always is preaching capitialism in her class to me and i sort of just nod you know why preach to the deaf> she asked me if I was a commie half joking and i just smiled and walked away. the look on her face PRICELESS

Ravara? Guevara?

does it have any special meaning?!I remember one day when i was highschool student we had to discribe someone and the others had to guess who we mean(it was not a kindergarten!).I discribed che and unfortunately nobody guessed the answer because nobody knew him. When i explained that the X' name was Che Guevara, my teacher who was british said:ah,SHAY RAVARA !!!

That could've been the perfect moment to enlighten someone on Che greatness. My mother-in-law was always against my political beliefs and my respect for Che due to the fact that her mother was almost deported back in the sixties because someone thought she was Cuban. Since then her mother taught her to hate everything Cuban, including Che. Well, then comes along me, marrying her daughter. I took every oppurtunity to speak on Che, and finally my mother in law respects Che and understands his fight for freedom and the need for revolution.
