Liberation Theology

If we're going to have a ton of Judeo/Christian/Muslim responses, perhaps we could start a thread talking about Liberation Theology and it's Marxist ideology.

What do people know about this movement, and it's connection with the murder of the prior pope? I myself am a Buddhist, but if we must continually have Judeo/Christian/Muslim responses perhaps we could at least speak about a Marxist form of that belief.

You should read Liberation Theology by Paul Sigmund. He also wrote about the fall of Allende in Chili. He's an Aqunias scholar.

Why did Enrique Dussel drop out of that society? I understand he also disagreed with the use of the word God in relation to the state?
