Very Interesting Article, given the evidence i'd agree with it. The US's "handover" of power is taking far too long for my liking, my guesse is that the US want a bit longer to take out more of the remaining major players in sadam's sympathisers. (sympathisers meaning anyone who isn't pro american and pro democracy =p (and i dont mean take out as in arrest, the word hypocrite comes to mind.)

Basically the whole thing stinks...

I thought sympathizers would have meant anyone who wants Iraq's resources under national control and its public services not to be nationalized. There's also the thrill of being able to boot out the American forces. I agree the with Iraqi resistance (that’s right, not "insurgency.") 100%.

The US will NEVER give complete autonomy to Iraq, it has too much to lose by doing that. With it's sources of oil declining it is scrambling to claim some oil for itself, and thus I do not believe true power will ever be "transferred" to Iraq.
