OK, When you take a good look at this site you see Socialists/Commys fighting with Capitalists.
You can see good points from both sides.
Does anybody have any ideas on a total new type of civilisation or government. You can post stuff about communism, capitalism, Socialized Capitalism or anything you have thought up yourself because there seems to be no perfect gov but maybe someone can come close.

This isn't perfect or original but it was on a computer game as a post-modern form of government.
TECHNOCRACY
Technocracy was formed by 2 distinctive groups, the technologically obsessed of the society. and the fascist, authoritarian and reactionarry thinkers who saw totalitarianism as a viable political system.
Under technocracy the society valued science and intellegence over all other persuits. Technocracies were known for extreme brutality and oppression. Most technocrats had no time for social issues, seeing education as a waste of resources for everyone except the extremely gifted. Businesses were given free reign to conduct business in the most Laissez-Faire markets the world had ever seen.
ECOTOPIA
Under ecotopia, the environment became protected often to extreme lengths. The growing use of technology to perform previously very environmentally destructive tasks became common place. Ecotopias were generally happy and fiercly nationalistic resulting in invasions of heavily polluting countries.

Hmm.. its different
My way would be to just reform democracy and include Socialism and parts of other types. It wouldn't be perfect but i dont think you can get a perfect one.

I foget what it was called. It's when you take all the good things from every form of government, instead of just being bound to a single one. It seems like a fairly good idea, but the forms of government have far too many contradictions to each other. I doubt it would work.

thats called managerialism, or to anyone with sense, 'bullshit'.
It's also called 'the Third Way'.
The idea seems sound when put simply, but how exactly can you take the best ideas from each system and stitch them together? each ideology is based on a distinctly different philosophical view of the world, and as you said, the contradictions are inherent.
However, i think it is very simple. We should follow dialectism, otherwise known as marxism. In this concept an antithesis grows to counter the problems of the prevalent thesis, and a synthesis of the two opposing ideas is formed, which becomes the new prevalent thesis. Take unto infinity and you will have a society that is as close to perfect as we can get.
Capitalism needs to take note of Communism.
Communism needs Anarchism to make it work without oppression.
Anarchism will then need something that we dont yet know of to deal with it's problems.
When we change, we will hit problems, this is not a reason not to change, it is a reason to think of ways to fix problems.

It seems that the American people have 'forgotten' the 2nd paragraph of the Declaration of Independace..
"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness. That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed. That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness."
Basically it says, if you're not happy with the goverment, you have the -RIGHT- to change it, because it's only purpose of existing is to serve YOU, the people...
Part of the third paragraph..
"...mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed."
I suppose that means, why fix it, if it's still running? (all-be-it on 3 flat tires, and a broken transmission)
I think the new government the people of the US, is right under their nose... and no where on the document does it mention Capitalism.

Excellent question, Irish. I am convinced that the world will move more towards a type of government that takes what works from all forms of government as well as human nature and meld them into a closer world to Utopia.
It's in the details where we get lost. For example it's human nature for mothers to want to care for their young, but economically they are penalized for doing so.
It's human nature to expect reward for hard work and distinction for deferring reward while receiving an education, serving the country, or saving for the future.
Does communism work when there are people who won't work?
