How can we get rid of Nato

After starting my topic called the state of Europe the topic turned round to how there should no longer be nato and and EU army instead, as NATO is just used for US means

mmm, well, this is rather difficult I think. How do we get rid of the NATO ... We won't, by we I mean you and I, only the EU itself or all the nations for themselves can decide something like this. So the best thing to do is get this idea on the streets ... and even then, someone should get into politics to spread our revolutionairy ideas no?
