I just got back from seeing the movie on a GIANT screen ( i mean huge), I still havent decided which Volume I like better . The first was more action based with little dialouge, and the second was more dialouge driven which QT movies are famous for. But the second volume focused too much on telling the story that the first movie didnt. There were a couple moments where I was bored and the ending too predictible. That snake however made me jump in my seat. I am glad that the movie was split into two parts because it seems imposible to view both parts of this movie back to back without getting bored., Hopefully QT's next movie "Inglorious Bastards" will be better.
Has anyone else seen this movie
EDIT: I noticed i left out a part in the second sentence I added that

Did anyone else see this film this weekend?

I saw it, i thought it was superior to vol. 1. The main problem i had with it was that it was too serious of an ending since the rest of the film had lots of humor in it. I didn't think they complemented each other well. I would go into specifics but I don't want to ruin the movie for those who plan to see it.

The ending was really anti-climactic, which made me not like the movie right after it ended but looking back on it, it was one of the better movies I've seen. I still prefered volume one, because of the sheer insanity of it.

I've only seen Vol. 1; I loved how it was a blatant over the top salute to spaghetti westerns and old samurai movies that QT grew up on. The fact that in one fight scene (cannot remember but think it is the last scene between Lucy Liu and Uma) they have Spanish bullfight music playing is hilarious!

Yeah, i really enjoyed Vol 2. However, there is no way i could decide which was better.
Anyone else seen previews for the other QT movie, "Hero"?

I wouldn't rag on the predictability of the movie.
Hence the name Kill Bill. Meaning that Bill was obviously going to be killed. That should have been predictable from the second any of us heard of the movie.
Personally I thought the first one was excellent, and I have yet to see the second one.

i didnt mean that AQ i meant the way Bill died i mean as soon as Bill said Pai Mei said never taught him the Five Point Palm Exploding Heart Punch I knew thats how he would die. Not that Bill died at the end.
I kinda knew the ending already, but only because I read the script.
Which I suggest people read.
Entire Script (http://www.killbill2.net/script.html)
I really liked both volumes. Pai Mei was awesome. I loved the flashback of Pai Mai and Daryll Hannah
*Edit*
I should point out that several things are different in the script (opposed to what was shown on screen)

I thought both films were utter garbage. Total crap.
Dragged out far too much.
I was shocked because my brother, who loved the first part also found the second part to be rubbish. For me, the problems of the second and first are very similar.
There were some nice touches. Pai Mei's laugh for one, and also the style in which the camera zoomed in during the Pai Mei scenes, this style is taken directly from lots of old Kung Fu films. I think the shakiness was due to their lack of professionalism rather than a desire to create a certain emotion, or whatever.
Quentin Tarantino is a schmuck.

I saw vol 1 a week ago and vol 2 last weekend. I really loved them both. Excellent music, humor (the classroom-scene :D). One of the best movies I've ever seen. I have to get the soundtacks. I've never seen a movie with so great music.

Well, I've seen only Pulp Fiction and a little of Reservoir Dogs. Kill Bills' soundtracks are the best. Maybe vol2 is even better.

That movie was off the chain. The script was brilliant, the camerawork and all that was classic QT shit, and if you're into kung fu flicks you'll love all the subtle references. And RZA did nice work on the score, as is to be expected. Younger folks will like Vol. I better, it was more action and blood and shit, older more sophisticated cats will like Vol II better, it was more psychological.

I thought the first was a bit poor for a Quentin Tarantino film. The second one was a lot better, although the ending could have been more surprising.

i loved it fantastic,
favourite bit was pai mai jumping on her sword and saying you can get a good view of my foot from her, and kicks her.
seriously better than the first, but the first was tarantino's first action film and it was still good, ~
four rooms is quite sick out of the QT selection,
i have seen all of em including ones he was just involved with like Dusk till Dawn and Killing Zoe, desperado etc but kill bill vol 2 is up there with pulp fiction in my op
i want a copy of Hero, where can i buy one being from blighty?

I liked Pulp Fiction and Reservoir Dogs, but after many of my friends told me Jackie Brown was crap, I didn't seem too enthusiastic about seeing any more QT movies. Would those who saw Kill Bill say that it was much better than Jackie Brown?
I just watched Jackie Brown again about 3 days ago. I still prefer Kill Bill. However, Jackie Brown was not crap. It's a really good movie, just a lot slower.

also check out Rum Punch by Elmore Leonard, Jackie Brown is that story adapted by Tarantino he just changed the main characters name from Jackie Burke to Jackie Brown and moved the setting from Miami to LA. I love Jackie Brown its my third favorite Tarantino film, and Pam Grier is still hot for her age

Nah, it's deliberate. It's not 'shakiness', just that the camera zooms in towards a point a little beside the character (nearly always to the left), then, while zooming, it swivels onto them. It's meant to capture the sense of catching sight of someone.
Jackie Brown isn't that good. I mean it's an alright crime film, but has none of the cleverness or intricacy of Tarantino's other four films.

I wouldn't let comments of my friends determine which movies I want to see.
