I'm not an expert on these things, though I can tell you if you keep looking you will be able to find Kazaa for free.
I remember searching on google when I downloaded it. It took a while to find a free version, but it was there.
Also, try to get Kazaa lite, normal Kazaa is ridden with 'spyware'.

I find Soulseek to be a great program. It seems especially good for non-mainstream stuff but I suppose you can find that too.
It is free, no spy-ware or ad-ware either.

Its on the slow side but will be far faster than nearly and filesharing program.

Have you tried two posts above yours? Could be worth a shot.

I have K++, which if I'm correct, is now illegal in the states because it blocks alot of record company snoopers.

www.kazaa.com
www.warez.com
www.limewire.com

well theres, limewire and dc++, in the kazza style of things, but then dc++ can be a little difficult, as you have to find hubs to join and then you need to already be sharing stuff, its a ***** so i nolonger use it,
then there is also bittorrents, though you have to download a small program and get the downloads from suprnova.org, but of course that is at the mament kind of under attack from the fbi,
so limewire is good and prob the best its the one i use anyway though when it comes to downloading music, but its only really for single tracks

My computer is gone nuts.

if i remember correctly which i dont there are things wrong with kazaa and good reasons not to use, but i cant remember them because its been so long,
i know the proper kazza comes with spyware well i think it does, im not really a computer expert

Well, I actually have Kazaa lite, I just say Kazaa always. Then people advise me to get the other one and I nod off for a bit.
I think my Kazaa is fucked up because the nah...it's too crazy.

No, my computer went nuts during the night and resized the title bars in everything. I think that is causing Kazaa consternation.
Kazaa lite, that is.

Is it just me or is there less songs available on Kazza lite than regular Kazza ?
canikickit
16th April 2004, 21:38
I don't know, Rubble. I think Kazza lite can search Kazaa users too, so there shouldnt be.
Actually, as far as I'm aware part of the KaLite advantage is that the search times are longer so you can find more.
If you haven't already tried it, I'd recommend soulseek to you. It's great for reggae, I know that much.
I think it's a bit better for more "collectors" stuff. I rarely use Kazaa for music any more.

I rarely use kazaa lite. It has a good selection and everything, I guess. I only use to sample songs briefly.
I listen to music almost strictly from CDs. The quality is far, far better than MP3 quality. MP3s may have a good compression rate, but they're still compressed. A CD should take up about a gig, not a few megs. And my computer has a disgustingly poor amp compared to the one across my room which is hooked up to some speakers also far better than my computer's.
I'm willing to fork over a few bucks to amazon.com for good quality music.

A real audiophile, you are. :P
I have a very expensive stereo hooked to my comp. 128kbps MP3s sound about as good as CDs on my little setup.

Absolutely. I've tried most of the others and the only other one that I liked about as much as soulseek was audiogalaxy it was good for rare stuff too. Here's the URL for soulseek, since a few people have asked me: http://www.slsknet.org/
I'd say it is much better than Kaz lite

Use a bit torrent, that way you can download practically anything, from Games to music to DVD's.
Torrentz is a good provider.
Nova Torrent is a good program to use to do the uploading and downloading.
Basically you have to install a program such as nova torrent on your PC first, and then use a site such as torrentz or suprnova to find the files.
