Are you talking about Derry or some other incident? I was not aware that there was any debate about NI's bloody Sunday. There was a street fight and folks got killed. Nobody wants that stuff to happen.

I believe the victims, what the army did was wrong and they should pay. Did you see the program on TV (in britain) the highest commanding officer in the program, the guy responsable for some of it is called General Ford he lived next to me until he died a few years ago. If I was a commie and knew about what he did when i was younger i would have shitted on the bastard but i didn't.
All the officers involved in Bloody Sunday were congratulated by the queen a few months later. They were all liers.

Trust me, the paras will get compensation for their distress before the civilians will.

This terrorism bullsh*t sucks. If women ran the world none of this would happen. If you did wrong, they would just stop talking to you and screw your husband.

Supermodel it was a bit more complex. The army wanted a revenge of killed soldiers, and then when a small amount of stone throwing began they sent in loads of soldiers who opens fire and shot 13 demonstrators, most were on a peaceful march and the stone throwers were running away when they were shot. Only two demontrators had guns and they only fired when the army started it. Then a cease-fire was called and a few soldiers deliberately ignored it and ran around the back of the fleeing demonstrators and shot 4 more.

After this they planted weapons on one of the men killed. over 75 rounds were fired by the paratroopers. And they lied about what happened, blaming it on the victims.

I saw the film, the britts never wanted it to get out, they are now up to their neck in shit! that day they didn't just kill people they did it racially & proceeded to lie and point the finger of blame at the people who had lost, the victims.

First of all the ppl were innocent. No questions. The soldiers even said they were 'very likely' to be innocent at Saville. The one boy found with nail bombs on him could not have had them went he was shot, as a bullet passed through the pocket of were he was meant to have them- meaning they were planted on him.

Bloody Sunday enraged the nationalist community of the West (in Belfast they were already at a critical stage- loyalists/B-men/off-duty RUC men were killing full time. But the loyalists could do v.little in the west- the nationalist heartland....
Bloody Sunday was the greatest recruitment agent for the IRA- my dad says he remembers getting the next day off school to march in protest. This was in omagh- a garrison town which never really had any trouble- the place erupted in violence, as did many other places.

All the ppl want is a public apology from the British Government/MoD. But that will take much more for the 'Jolly good chaps' in the paras.
The paratroop regiment was warned that 'revenge' would b precise and deadly by the Provos. It was the Offical IRA who attacked Aldershot (a military fuck-up) killing a cathaolic priest. The Provisional IRA attacked the paras in 1979, killed 18 along wiv the queens uncle in the republic in a separate incident. it was the greatest lost of life suffered by the british amry since D-Day... but lets hope its all over now- many young ppls lifes were destroyed- on both sides

The facts speak the truth and that is of the victims. No one shoots on innocent protesters because a minority shoots at you. But it shows how in just the British can be towards us. We need that apology but apologies don't bring back the dead.

I think that we will never be given an appology cuz the Brittish will just wait till it dies down & will never give them one, unless Sinn Fein forec them into a stalemate on the issue.
