:P Ha, these guys aren't democrats, I'm the only democrat here.
Edit: And Kerry will win.(Although he wasn't my first choice for president he is better then Bush)

Kerry Won't win.
Bush has good support here. By November, Iraq will be much more stable, and the economy is improving as well.

Kerry is up in the polls, even with the "Nader factor" he is up 4 points. You must live in the south if you think he has support. I live in Jersey. My guess is that your a...................Texan?

California.
Remember When Dukakis ran against Bush Sr.? He was up in the polls too. Never underestimate the silent Majority.
The election will be determined, for the most part, on the state of the economy and how well we are handling Iraq as we approach november.
Jersey is very pro-labor, which tends to favor dems. Bush has strong support in the south and bible belt, and a lot of the midwest.
I think that the west, northeast, and midwest is still anyone's game, but Bush should be looking OK in November as long as the economy continues to rebound and We are able to hand-over a re-established and stable Iraq to an interim government (which is what the administration will be shooting for, interim governmet control is still set for June 30th).

The situation is quite different as there is a large portion of the U.S populus that is against the war. Also the state of the economy is horrible for Bush as compared to the previous Clinton Administration(I'll admit that, that in particular wasn't all Bush's fault).

I still can't believe there is a portion of our population that actually thinks that there are links between Al-Queda and Iraq.
And also, I think Cali will most likely go to the Dems, dispite Bush's attempts to kiss the hispanic populations ass.

Oh god, please get out of this thread with that crap. I understand that some democrats may be centerists in their views but they are definitely not "Republicans".

Cali is always a toss-up. It has very liberal areas as well as very conservative areas. Too close to call right now.
Though there has been some loss of support for the war due to the WMD controversy, I think it still has majority support, and that will increase even more as violence subsides and the war draws to some kind of close.
I think Bush will win, barring some kind of other didaster that he can be blamed for.
Who knows, though?

Dirty Commie,
Your post sounds more like a budding Communist society to me.
Ihatebush,
We hate you too ya skirt wear'n pussy.
I think the polls are even because lefties have the group mentality and show up in huge numbers to vote for these stupid polls. The righties have better things to do like taking care of the family, firing a lefty for whining at work again, etc. I am gonna laugh my ass off when hes putting in another 4 years.
Y2A

Forget it. I don't feel like arguing with a guy that despite all the flaws of the communist system, agrees with it. Either way, I do agree that third parties are good for the U.S and should be voted into office much more then they are currently.
Again CI, Californians are quite foolish to vote in Arnold.
Also, don't you think that our status would be much better if McCain won the nomination instead of Bush. Despite him being Republican, I wouldn't mind living as McCain as my president.

Come to think about, maybe your right. In the latest polls I seen, Nader got 4% of the vote. But we all know in the national election he'll probably get less then 1%. I still hope that Bush loses.

Arnold is dope.
The first thing he did in office was to save me hundreds on my car registration. He signed the bill repealing the huge car tax increase within minutes of his inauguration. By him doing that, I saw a real result from my vote, and that was encouraging as a voter.
Then he repealed the atrocious "Drivers Licences for illegal immigrants" law, which was just a last minute ploy from Gray Davis for the hispanic vote before his recall.
He has fostered real bipartisanship in the State senate. His approval ratio is still up.
Why don'y you like Arnold? I think he is a breath of fresh air.

It's not that I don't like Arnold. It's the fact that he probably got elected for his popularity in movies and not for the real issues. Man, people in the east were calling you guys the embrassment of the Union when that happened.

As opposed to a carreer politician, I think that it was a good move.
Believe me, easterners can think what they want, but take it from an actual Californian, he has done a very good job so far.
Besides, weren't some Easterners the one's who re-elected Marion Barry after he was caught smoking crack with a prostitute? Talk about embarassing!!!
I'll take Arnold over that any day.
And most importantly, lets not forget about Ronnie!!!

I've been all over. I was raised in Sacramento, went to college there too, but I've also lived in San Diego (great city), and am currently in Fresno.
But yeah, basically I'm a Northern Cali guy.

CI, I know exactly what your contributions to this forum have been and thats what troubles me. If you think calling people 'pukes' and posting a bunch of mindless tripe amounts to anything worthy of respect think again. All I read of this thread was your first post and all that need be said is that a chit chat forum is privilege you do not enjoy here. Smarten up.

I got it from CI's comment about Marion Barry:

What part do you have a problem with, the drugs or the prostitutes?

Damn didn't even notice he posted that. I'm fucking blind. Anyway, it's not like Republicans are sqeaky clean, just look at Bill Janklow!
You didn't answer my question either. I said that I thought that McCain should have gotten the nomination instead of Bush and would have been a much finer president. Do you agree?

That was fucking hilarious. I hope you were joking. But I agree, El Che, don't be a baby.
What part do you have a problem with, the drugs or the prostitutes?
No, the fact that the mayor was smoking crack. Bang your hookers, whatever, but the head of a major city shouldn't be smoking crack, I shouldn't need to explain why. It's not like the guy had a beer or smoked a joint, he hit crack rocks, which, if you didn't know, is bad.
You didn't answer my question either. I said that I thought that McCain should have gotten the nomination instead of Bush and would have been a much finer president. Do you agree?
Well, even I agree with that, but there is no way CI does. I think the difference would be pretty small, but hey, maybe there wouldn't be war in Iraq right now. Or waybe there would, who cares, as long as it isn't that fucking spoiled rich kid we have for a "president".
