it's Cool - i used the Rising Sun pattern and replaced the Red disc with
a black disc and a "Sickle & Hammer" - I can say this can be used for
any Communist Movement if they wish.

yes - it's the Anarcho-Syndicalist flag with a Star. Easy Flag to make -

Cuban inspired Communists use red over black flags, exept horizontally rather then diagonally divided, sometimes with a yellow star in the center.

Yeah, I looked all over the internet for a soviet naval jack flag and found one for 50 bucks...the all read and white one, that is.

I've never been able to find a soviet battle flag, however.

A red star is a must, I always wonder what background colour would look best on but I think now I know black is best background, with a red star, nice flag, maybe the star should be bigger though, looks good, keep them coming comrades, any chance of taking these selected designs and getting them produced into full size flags?

it is the Portuguese Flag, our homeland, our motherland for wich we have fought and will fight if it is ever threatened by any imperialistic forces..

the red symbolizes the blood of our beloved comrades that died in the long fight for independence and freedom, the green symbolizes the hope for a bether and brighter future...
the central thing symbolizes... something something related to the discovery of the new world and the litle shields symbolize the moors that we kicked out of Iberia (they started it!)

the flower symbolizes the glorious socialist revolution of 1974...

unfortunally the revolution has been stopped, the agrarian reform was stopped, the workers control of the means of production was ended, our beloved leader Vasco Gonçalves was kicked out of power by those dirty bourgeoise and now we are being fucked by those fucking spanish capitalists...

it isn't a rose..


it's a carnation (spelling)..

it symbolizes the socialist revolution that occurred in 1974, when the army revolted and made a coup d'etat against the fascist dictatorship..

when the people realised what was appening they started to cheer the soldiers, encourage them and stuff..

so they started putting carnations on the soldiers rifles since the coup d'etat was made without violence...

That's what makes it a slur, the tribe was in Africa, but the majority of the Empire's forces who made it to Spain and Portugal were not from that one tribe. Later on it began to refer to all Muslims.

Great flag there, LinuxMan! However, there is one thing... It's too similar to the Japanese Imperial Flag ie. the one the Japanese used during the facist/nationalist years of the 30s and 40s. So, it's pretty strange seeing facist and communist symbols on the same flag. :P It's just like episode in the Simpsons where it shows Reiner Wolfcastle's (the Schwarzenegger look alike) movie where he fights "Communist-Nazis." lol.

I think my avartar (fixed up) would make a great flag. (Which is what it is).

The red and black stand for the, communist and anarchist parts of the society. The green is there always to remind us that we must protect out environment, 'cause if we do that, hopfully it will look after us.

nice flag. I saw it recently on the madonna video "american life"(have seen before though, as have 2 other people i know), the madonna video shows approx 200 flags, all real, from around the world behind her, from Africa to France, North Korea, Cuba, U$, UK, Argentina, Germany, Spain...you get the idea.
