I was looking for some more info on the Black Panthers and in particular Huey P Newton. From what i have read the BP's were socialist/communist. I know that Angela Davies was a commie and a leader in the BP movement. Any info any one can supply on activities of the BPs or the conformation they were socialists would be well recived and any particular data on Heuy P would also be appretiated.

One of my all time favorites. It's a tragedy how Huey ended up tho. RIP.

They were committed Maoists.

By searching Google, you can get a lot of information on this group.

Fred Hampton is, in my opinion, the most screwed over Panther.

I'm a Bobby Seale fan, myself. My social studies teacher met him and talked with him, which is pretty damn sweet. I did a project on the BPP in the 7th grade and my partner and I presented it while wearing berets, aviator sunglasses, and leather jackets. After the presentation, we stood facing the judges table with our fists raised for 30 seconds. One of the judges (my science teacher) was an African-American woman who liked the BPP a lot and she said that we had "black souls." How sweet is that?
