Respect to David Letterman

Last Tuesday Night, I think it was, Letterman made one of his usual jokes about bush. Bush Invigorating America's Youth: http://www.k10k.net/dropbox/AmericasYouth.rm was so funny that CNN picked it up. Right after they aired it, however, the White House told them that it was faked.

And I don't deny myself the right to watch it, trust me. It isn't as if I made a concious decision to boycott Conan. It's just that I see an ass-hole whenever I see that man, that's all. There are plenty of other good shows on TV, it's not like I sit there bored refusing to let myself indulge in the forbiden TV show.

I think Jon Stuart deserves a mention. His material is great and hysterical, his delivery is good too. Not as good as Letterman, though.

Not really the same kind of show, but the German fella from Wanderlust is fucking briliant. Anyone ever see that show? It's on Comedy central from time to time.

I never said you made a concious decision to boycott. What I said is that it must be rough, anyone who makes a joke you don't agree with is labeled an "asshole" or a "sexist" or a "racist". Whether you like it or not, what Conan said was a pure joke and he did not mean to piss people off. The fact that you think French Canadians are an "oppressed minority" shows how far off the deep end you really are. I don't consider being the butt of a few jokes to be "oppression".

The quote you posted was in response to a kid making blatantly sexist comments. He finds women who have had sex before unworthy to be his companion. He pissed me off and I insulted him. What exactly was the point in posting that ? What are you trying to prove ?

I think it's pretty okay to be prejudiced of people with socialy chauvinistic views. If someone is a homophobe and a nationalist, I automaticaly assume they're ass-holes. Yeah, it's prejudicial.

If French Canadians are not an oppressed minority, Conan has contributed to making them one. Jews are not an oppressed minority in the United States, does that mean it's okay to 'joke' about how they're all money-grubbing, Jesus killers?
