Barfly

I really want to see Barfly but the thing is it is hard to get hold of in Denmark. So before I use any money on buying it I would like to know what people think about it.
And for those of you who don't know it, it's a movie with a script made by Charles Bukowski (yes the dirty old drunk)

It's been a while since I've seen it, but I loved it. It's dark and depressing, and Mickey Rourke is great in it.

I love Bukowski's writing anyway, and I thought the movie did it justice.

Absolutely! Purchase it. I own it. Its very dark, intellectual, and of course some of Mikey Roukes best work. Other Rouke movies I own are, Johnny Handsome, Angel Heart (both set in New Orleans near my home) Rouke recently was in a movie about meth amphetimines as a speed cook ( cant remember the name of it) He was great in it but the movie was so intense I had a hard time watching all of it.
Did I mention I'm a huge Rouke fan? ;)

Well he is made out to be worse than he is. Sure he made some b-movies but a movie like Angel Heart is brilliant.
Anyway I will go ahead and buy it, even though I don't worship Charles Bukowski anymore I still like his works. Also Rourke seems to be the right choice for playing Chinaski.
