The acting, the direction, the cinematography, the theme, the setting, the script...PURE GENIUS!

This film moved me. At the end, I desperately wanted to strangle Nurse Ratched!

Absolutely brilliant. I only saw it recently, and I'd rate it very highly. One of the greatest films of all time.

The documentry and commentry on the DVD are very interesting to me. The head doctor in the film is played by the real head doctor from the hospital where the shot the film.

I saw it a while ago, it is a masterpiece. Definatly on my unwritten list of best movies.

Full of great actors, even "inmates" (forgot the real word) who had half a dozen lines were amazing.

i completely agree with all the above statements. has anyone read the book by ken kesey that the film was based on? i started it a while ago but had to return it to the library before i got a chance to finish it. anyway, i couldn't imagine anyone but jack nicholson as the main character (dammit, i forgot his name, was it randall?). my favorite scene definitely had to be where he hoodwinked the guy who was in charge of the dock into thinking that they were all esteemed doctors. and the final tableau of chief before they cut to the credits was incredible. a top-notch movie, definitely. they don't make them like that anymore.

:) Definately one of the greatest movies of all time! I worked in an institution in my city and the movie acuarately reflects some of my experiences. We also had a patient that had a lobotomy....frightening and soooo sad....

I'm glad to see more like-minded folks who rate this film as highly as I do, it is certainly one of my all-time favorites.

The book however was a bit dissapointing after the high standard set by the film. I actually found the book rather tedious.
