View Full Version : No revolution - the capitalists have won

I did some thinking after reading some of the inspirational quotes. I can't believe how perfected capitalism is. Why do you think no one has rose against the system? Those days are over.... sadly.

When one is young, they are taught that they everyone is different and it will always be like that. Life isn't fair. Get good grades, yes, whatever you do, just get good grades....

You go to school not to learn, they could care less, but to get good grades. Getting those grades are everything. If you don't have good grades then fuck you, get out of this school, you are too slow, to weak. We only want the best, and we advertise and promote them to others. You get scolded when you do something wrong, when you break a rule.

My god, they make you work for the capitalist system before you know it. They create a belief system of adaptation of the capitalist system. That's why people won't get up and start the revolution that is needed. People have been institutionalized in the system, there is no hope. How can anyone fight against this system? The school system is the fundamental subconcience training for the mind to enter the real capitalist society.

The horror. The horror...

No revolution, be a good boy conform, Not for a minute.
We are up against a system which has us knee deep in shit. We are given garbage in the hopes that we become and stay with the garbage.
These are reactionary times, no doubt, but we are only dealing with garbage, the people can not afford to be suffocated by it forever. Stay strong.

The question still remains, Out of how many people that actually realize what is happening will actually want to do something about it?

Our educational system in the US is the basis of the teachings of capitalism, get good grades and you get praised, if you don't then you are failing and you are a disappointment to people

It easy to sit back and look at what is. It is very depressing. What socialist do is look at the way things change. Engels put forward the maxim "consciousness
lags development". The majority were flat earthers once.
Social conditioning and social acceptance dont last forever.
Confucious says"It is better to light one small candle than curse the darkness"

I agree that one of the main institutions in U$A to instill nationalism is probobly that of the school systems. They're absolutely horrible in the U$A. I mean sure the propaganda is disgusting and even the time they start the school day is based on what they want you to learn but I mean the sytsem in general.

A learning system based on tests that can't properly tell what a person knows. Even if one knows what a test is on and has studied the topic they can easily fail. The tests, the quizzes, the grades, the homework--they are all part of a horrible system. I think that in a new socialist nation the school system should be one of the most important systems to be created and it should be 100% flawless. America has obviously made their schools impose this system so that people will succumb to the overall capitalist system, it's just showing them that out of the education world they (U$ gov't) have control.

Time to take the power back.

I believe I mentioned in another thread that one of the fucked up things about the U.S. is that the schooling is based on competition instead of education so students don't really learn and are just there to be conditioned into capitalists.

i agree the education system is horrible, They just force stats and information down your throat and hope that you get it. School sucks(high school that is) and thats the way they want. When something is so bad then it usally has people drop out or turn away, this is exactly what they want. They want drop outs or just high school graduates because they can shove them into the lower income jobs. And in the end the peopel cant say anything because they have no education that meets the standards. Capitalism works on many levels and ecuation is the first part of it . peace

You get scolded when you do something wrong, when you break a rule. You should be in my drama class and get graded for participation and effort one every 4 1/2 weeks. It's fun, too . . .

Anyway, I know exactly what you mean. That's why I work in a middle school and teach drama, it's totally creative and there are no tests or quizzes. (And, it's fun and I'm good at it.) Let me say right now, I go to a bunch of different schools and 95% of the teachers I've met are against standardized testing. It's a cop-out and one of Bush's many ways of returning favors to campaign donors.

The curriculums are set and rigid. Teachers have hardly any room to make their own rules or standards, and of course this makes learning even harder for learning disabled, etc. students to learn as easily as the "regular" kids. They're taught how to think and act. It really sucks because I see so many kids with so much potential and they can't shiine in school because there are no opportunities.

My math teacher said today after handing back our math tests, replying to a students comment, "I didn't give you the grade, you earned it." Now that is math class, where you basically can memorize the formulas and you can pass. But I couldn't privide an arguement for it. Can you guys help me out, or is she one of the good ones.

well comrade kamo, why would they prepare us for any other system? The United States is capitalist, so the schools teach us to be capitalists. If this was a communist country, then the educational system would be communist morals and teachings.

and school is preventing us from revolution?? i agree with you regarding united states teachings... but obviously you've seen through that. the first step to organized change is pointing out faults. once you've done that then you know what you must attack, what must be changed. you're simply pointing out accepted theory, educating others about it; and that makes the revolution far from dead. it's only beginning, comrade. :)

the capitalist schools are the worst, and destroy the freedom of speech... Back in highschool.. some 4 years ago, i got kicked out for telling my teacher that the united states goverment system was not perfect and was aimed at taking advantage of everyone.. they didnt like that, they didnt like me, i got booted. First year at College after getting my GED, i get suspened for checking out communist resource books.. why the hell do they have them if i cant read them??? schools TRULY do train children to be nice calm capitalist puppets..

where do you live, that sounds pretty strict. i lecture my math teacher on our government all the time, since he always tries to make it into an econ class... "PEOPLE THIS IS WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW TO SURVIVE IN THE WORLD TODAY, IF YOU DONT PASS THIS TEST YOU'LL NEVER AMOUNT TO ANYTHING".. anyway, we dont have very many decent left books in our library but i had their copy of the communist manifesto for a while and it didnt seem to bother anyone... they're probably fingering my record now, but i've never been suspended for anything like that.

Yeah, math is a big waste of time. Unbiased history class should take it's place and have the place it currently does. History is the most important thing that can be teached in these institutes.
