If you feel like your absorbed too much in the fight between the left and the right, why don't you take a break. Kick back and do some research on socialism, communism, capitalism, etc. You would gain more solid beliefs and probably never feel this way again.

Actually when I'm fed up I feel more reactionary, what alternative is there.
Try to temper angry feelings with compassion and meditation, think what is most helpful here, but when I ride the bus as yesterday with woman whose son was killed by the police on a routine traffic stop and all she can say is "I Want my son" over and over while she is forced to ride the bus to the investigation procedings
I don't feel like giving up. On the contrary it's times like these that people come together.
Just was listening to Tom Petty's "Here Comes My Girl" in which the speaker a blue collar laborer is getting totally screwed over by the system, working too hard and can't find work, but she makes it all right. This is what I get sick of, actually would like to start a poll, "Is Romance the new opiate of the Masses, now that religion is impotent?"

agree, that would certinaly be of some help.

For myself, I do at times feel like this and sometimes have the scenario that i would rather be a humanitarian instead of mentally entrenched in the realm of politics.

But when my enthusiastic schoolmates showing me their new cell-phones and LVs and Gucci accessories, me, at the same time thinking of the poor in those undeveloped countries who made all these... I will feel empowered again , and say in my heart, "El socialismo es la única solución." Poor bunch of zombies, I'll save you one day, there will be pain , but history will absolve us (we, the revolutionaries).
